Thompson Metal Fab has more than 30 years of experience fabricating modular equipment. Our experienced staff and facility — and our relationship with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and heavy-hauling subcontractors — makes us attractive for turn-key projects.

Over the years, Thompson Metal Fab has had a hand in numerous Pacific Northwest hydroelectric dam projects — gates, spillway weirs and bypass systems being the most common. Our work can be found at such dams as Rocky Reach, Round Butte, Lower Monumental, The Dalles, Priest Rapids, Ice Harbor, and Lower Granite. In addition to filling the needs of the hydroelectric sector, TMF has built a myriad of other marine projects, including barges, custom hulls, kort nozzles and floating platforms. Our location adjacent to the Columbia River has proven invaluable in the launching and testing of all of these various products.

Helping with the construction of new bridges and retrofitting older ones has long been a staple of Thompson Metal Fab’s portfolio. One of our strengths is the ability to adapt our fabrication services to whatever the project demands, whether that means a simple or complex bridge design.
