Effective refreshment of CO2 with minimal energy consumption. With the Tolsma Fresh Box, the air in the storage is being refreshed with optimal temperature and moisture condistions. This improves the product quality. The Fresh Box saves energy and prevents heat and moisture coming into the storage in warm periods and climates. The Fresh Box controls, that warm fresh air that comes into the storage, is cooled down through a heat recovery unit and the CO2 is removed outside, all fully-automatic. Additional cooling down is done by evaporation of water in the heat recovery unit. With the Tolsma Fresh Box, the air is refreshed with minimal power consumption and minimal temperature differences in the storage are ensured.

The Tolsma-Grisnich TG-W washer is an in-house developed drum washer for the wet cleaning of potatoes, carrots, red beets and other tuberous and bulbous crops. The drum washer combines an exceptional high capacity with a low water consumption. This is realized through the special shape of the drum washer and the high-end controls which control the pollution of the processing water. Depending on the filling of the washer, the water level and the supply of fresh water is controlled automatically. The unique aftershower also gets rid of the last adherent dirt of the product.

The stone and clod separator can remove stones and clods from a batch of potatoes, onions or other root vegetables with an accuracy of 95%. Because of the advanced sensor technology, a high capacity (15 to 50 tons/hr) can be realised. This machine has definitely made its mark, and is unique in the potato processing business. It can be deployed as a stand-alone unit or as part of a processing line.

No matter how ingenious the design and installation of a sorting system, there will always be routes where the product must be transported vertically or horizontally from one place to another. Grisnich’s transport conveyors are tailor-made (width to 160 cm). These product-friendly conveyors are characterised by their stable, durable frame.

The Quadro air-mix unit is specially designed for box storage. The internal air is mixed with fresh air from outside until the required ventilation temperature has been reached. Expansion of the Quadro air-mix unit with a refrigeration unit is simple. This latter unit comprises an air cooler through which the air is cooled. Several air-mix units can be connected to a common direct or indirect refrigeration unit.
