Tramasa - Electrodeionisation Water Treatment Technology

This water treatment technology, combining the use of resins and membranes, is highly appealing to customers as it uses no chemicals and generates no effluent whatsoever. An electrical potential is applied to separate the ions, leaving the water free of any saline content. This procedure is suitable for exacting applications such as purified or highly purified water (pharmaceutical use, cosmetics, dialysis, cogeneration plants, electronics industry…).

Tramasa - Arsenic Removal Plant

Arsenic is a chemical that exists in nature in different states of oxidation. It is highly noxious for drinking water, as the maximum allowed levels are extremely low (currently 10 ppb). Therefore, it is very important to correctly select and design a suitable system for the removal of this substance from water without affecting the other elements present in it and avoiding the generation of hazardous waste substances. This is the approach followed by TRAMASA in the development of water treatment solutions.

Tramasa - Iron and Manganese Removal Plant

Iron and manganese are metals widely present in surface and underground waters. By determining the concentration of iron and manganese in the water we can specify a suitable oxidation-filtration unit for the removal of these two metals in a simple and efficient way.

Tramasa - Multimedia Filtration Equipment

We offer filtering equipment, either self-contained, forming part of water treatment systems for human consumption, or for pre-treatment in reverse osmosis equipment, manual or automatic, designed according to the source water quality (mainly solids in suspension). The main purpose of these filters is to clarify the water.

Tramasa - Reverse Osmosis / Nanofiltration Plant

Both systems involve the use of membranes water treatment, involving the application of pressure to the membrane, and are intended for the salts removal. According to the source water quality and the end water quality required we shall select the more suitable of the two technologies.

Tramasa - Separate Bed and Mixed Bed Demineralisation Plant

Today there is little demand for these systems, as the regeneration processes involved require highly contaminant chemicals and they are major sources of microbiological contamination. These drawbacks are currently overcome using other technologies such as reverse osmosis and electrodeionisation.
