Transvac - Vapour Recovery Unit Ejectors

We supply Ejectors for use on Vapour Recovery Units (VRUs), also known as Vent Gas Recovery Units. Our ejectors use Liquid Jet Pump or Gas Ejector Technology to compress vent gas for recovery. This gas is either pumped back into the storage tanks that emitted the vapour, or off into pipework for sale and distribution.  Our Ejectors function by use of a high-pressure motive fluid (usually water). This fluid is used to entrain the low-pressure vapour that has been recovered. The Ejector then mixes both inputs and discharges them at an intermediate pressure.

Ejectors offer an attractive solution for generating extra production from low pressure (LP) wells and thereby extending field life. Most commonly, shut-in or liquid loaded wells can be revived, as well as satellite or stranded wells deemed too expensive to recover with ‘traditional’ enhanced recovery techniques.

Transvac - Steam Jet Thermocompressors

Transvac Steam Jet Thermocompressors are energy saving devices that compress low pressure steam, often waste steam, to a higher useable pressure.  Transvac Thermocompressors can contribute substantially in reducing energy costs by recovering waste or flash steam and putting it back into the process at a useful pressure. This technology can in many cases produce steam savings of 15 – 20%. Transvac has been designing these systems for over 45 years and each unit is designed specifically to suit a customer’s process requirements to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Sometimes, Thermocompressors are combined with Desuperheaters if the steam is to be used for a heating duty.

Tank Jet Mixing is a process whereby Tank Jet Mixers act as mass momentum exchange devices. These use the energy of pressurised liquid to entrain, mix and pump a secondary liquid. The principle is used for many process applications including blending, solids suspension, dilution, heat distribution, pH control, temperature control and homogeneity.

Transvac - Hygienic Design Ejectors

Transvac Ejectors can be fully custom designed for hygienic applications, specifically to suit the process requirements. Available as standard in 316L stainless steel with sanitary fittings, all units are designed to meet current hygienic standards, suitable for C.I.P cleaning. Hygienic Ejectors are offered with sanitary tri-clamp fittings instead of bolted flanges and receive a super polished finish to the inside to ensure maximum cleanliness.

Transvac - Liquid Jet Solids Pumps

Transvac Liquid Jet Solids Pumps have been successfully used for entraining and wetting many powders for hygienic applications including sugar, milk, salt, citric acid, starches, CMC, Malto-dextrin etc. They can be fed manually from bags or via a screw feeder from a Bulk Bag system or Silo, thereby minimising powder handling. The high shear motive jet ensures complete wetting of the powder before it enters the recirculation tank. A hopper washdown ring can be used to aid powder flow and C.I.P.
