Trident - MD Press
The Trident MD Press excels where conventional screw press dewatering units are limited by their design. Ineffective dehydration or increased maintenance are challenges that operators are too familiar with. The key to the efficient MD Press dewatering process is its dewatering cylinder. This cylinder can achieve thickening and pressing (dewatering) in a single integrated operation. The MD Press can accept a wide range of sludge types, from very dilute sludge with less than 0.5% solids to pre-thickened sludge. Separate thickening, storage and conditioning processes are eliminated. In addition, required operator attendance, power consumption and water use for operational wash-down are significantly reduced.
Trident - Polymer Hydration Unit
The Trident polymer hydration unit is an automated two stage polymer make-down and aging system that accurately mixes, ages and dispenses hydrated polymers for use in wastewater treatment. In the make-down stage precise amounts of polymer are metered onto a diffuser plate, liquefied and thoroughly mixed. The blended polymer solution is transferred by gravity from the make- down and aging tank to the second stage tank for introduction to the waste stream. The hydrated polymer is injected into the waste stream via a positive displacement pump that delivers exact amounts of polymer for cost effective and efficient applications. Depending on the project requirements Trident can provide a polymer system for both dry and emulsion polymer.
Trident - Rotary Screen Separator
The Trident Rotary Screen Separator is specifically designed for screening, conditioning and separating solids from liquid waste. This internally fed drum screen separator suits many applications in the industrial and agricultural wastewater sector. It combines high abrasion resistance, exceptional flow characteristics and effective solids removal with a robust and reliable equipment design. Different screen opening options ensure the most effective separation results for every application. The latest generation of Trident Rotary Screen (RSC) separators features a non-corrosive chain drive system with top mounted motor and gearbox, along with an improved and reinforced chassis. A high efficiency spray bar system is activated as needed and reduces screen clogging for consistent material processing rates. The RSC Separator is available in two sizes: the standard RSC 900 with a 36” diameter drum and the RSC 1200 with a 48” diameter drum for high-capacity applications.
Trident - Screw Press
The Trident Screw Press is a durable, robust and efficient piece of equipment, purpose built for making bedding material from dairy manure. The press features a screw with interrupted flighting, graduated pitch and resistor teeth. The flighting is notched and a 1/32 inch screw-screen clearance further promotes effective dewatering and low maintenance operation. The screw shaft is supported on both ends ensuring robust and low wear operation. A simple yet effective shaft seal design prevents machine failure from manure liquid entering the gearbox. An air operated outlet door allows automated output control. The produced solids are coarse and fluffy with up to 34% dry matter, providing both cow comfort and excellent drainage characteristics required for use in today’s modern dairies. The equipment with its robust construction and corrosion resistant components is designed for long lasting operation, while reducing maintenance and operational costs.
Trident - Shaftless Screw Conveyor
The Trident Shaftless Screw Conveyor is a great addition to the Trident dewatering equipment and is used for the disposal and conveyance of dewatered sludge from municipal wastewater treatment processes, residential sewage pretreatment plants, or livestock waste applications such as manure processing systems. An optional electrical control panel or integration into the plant’s automation is available.
Trident - Wave Separator
The Trident Wave Separator is a sludge thickening machine with an efficiency that is second to none. The Wave Separator’s innovative working principle ensures effective separation in many sludge thickening applications while requiring a very low Opex. Slow moving concentric discs gently move the material through the separation surface, achieving high capacities and excellent capture rates. The Wave Separator can be operated fully automated 24/7 or process sludge in batches. The Wave Separator technology is scalable to suite multiple applications and varying volumes of material.
Trident - Centrifuge
Trident offers the option to provide centrifuge equipment for manure separation on dairy farms. A centrifuge can be a good way to improve on-farm nutrient management. The equipment is recommended as secondary treatment step for manure liquid (effluent) from primary separators such as rotary screens or screw presses. After the initial primary treatment the effluent still contains large amounts of fine solids and high nutrient levels, which can be problematic for lagoon storage or NMP requirements. The centrifuge is capable of concentrating these fine solids to a cake material, usually with 15-25% TS. The produced effluent (centrate) is low in solids and nutrients, benefitting downstream processes on the farm. By eliminating a large portion of the solids going to longterm storage, the farm is able to realize substantial cost savings by reducing expensive lagoon clean outs.
Trident - Trident Automation System
The Trident Automation System is a customized controls solution designed to manage the process variables of advanced liquid waste management. Based on specific input parameters provided by sensors and customized event action circuits, the controls ensure optimal performance of the system, even under changing conditions.
Trident - Dissolved Air Flotation - DAF
The DAF Dissolved Air Flotation Unit is used as thickening technology. It separates suspended organic material using infused micronized air bubbles that float flocculated solid particles to the surface. The floating particles form a layer of concentrated sludge on the surface which is skimmed off by a rake assembly and then sent to further dewatering downstream. This technology can be used in a variety of industrial or municipal applications. To see how this technology is incorporated in the Trident Nutrient Recovery process visit Trident on YouTube. The treatment with a Dissolved Air Flotation tank requires the use of polymer, which is introduced with a Polymer Hydration Unit prior to the DAF.
