The metal roof has stood the test of time in the field of industry. Not only does it provide cost-effective protection against the effects of weather, but an insulated metal roof is also the preferred solution for complying with the new German energy saving regulations. Metals are also used for façade cladding, containers and tanks, pipework and process apparatus as well as many other constructions. Metals that are exposed to the effects of weather as well as mechanical loads corrode at a faster rate, leading to surface rust, blistering rust and eventually scaling. This compromises the functionality of the metal roof. Triflex Metal Coat is a functional coating that was specially developed for metal roofs. It protects against corrosion and prolongs the life of metal roofs and constructions.

Architects and contractors alike are only too familiar with the challenge: surfacing rooftops with gravel, paving or greenery is in vogue. Whatever the covering, it is paramount that they are absolutely leak-proof. Triflex ProTect shines in situations where traditional materials in combination fail. Whether on top of or underneath other coverings: the roof waterproofing system provides reliable, lasting protection for roofs. The full-surface-reinforced waterproofing system with a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) base is highly weather-resistant and also resistant to UV and IR radiation. With its high resistance to hydrolysis, Triflex ProTect is also suitable for standing water applications, e.g. fountains and water tanks.

Triflex offers the Triflex BFS system for coating terraces and balconies that are subjected to high mechanical loads. The Triflex ProFloor wearing layer helps to maintain the building structure above unoccupied rooms on a lasting basis. The vapour-permeable coating system can be applied to almost all substrates. Its low mass per unit area makes it suitable for balcony refurbishments – without adversely affecting stability. This saves time and the expense of removing existing coatings. The version Triflex BFS S1 is a flame-retardant enhancement of the tried-and-tested Triflex BFS coating system. Special additives make this mechanically and chemically highly stable system flame-retardant, which means that it is ideal for walkways and escape routes. The unique Triflex BFS S1 system is designed exclusively for use on mineral substrates.

The Triflex BIS ancillary system protects against penetrating cold and moisture. In conjunction with the Triflex BTS-P waterproofing system, it offers a high-quality, cost-effective solution. It prevents thermal bridges and mould formation on interior surfaces. The efficient balcony insulation system not only improves the living environment, but also lowers heating costs. Since the Triflex BIS Balcony Insulation system has only a low layer thickness, almost all the build-up height available can be used for insulation. A compensating layer applied on top of the insulation to distribute the load ensures a high load-bearing capacity.

Triflex ProDrain is a special solution which is ideal for refurbishing saturated substrates on balconies and terraces. Balcony coating and waterproofing solutions extend the life of balconies and roof terraces. In many cases, however, as the substrate ages it requires increasing amounts of refurbishment, for which the only solution is a tried-and-tested, reliable system. Refurbishment is often put off until the substrate is saturated or heavily soiled. At worst, the existing coverings are damaged or the substrate cracked. Substrates prone to slight movement can be just as problematic. The centrepiece of the Triflex ProDrain ancillary system for balconies is a self-supporting decoupling sheet. It is the safe,  clean solution for soiled, cracked substrates through which moisture has penetrated. Triflex ProDrain ventilates the damp substrate, protecting the building structure.

Waterproofing of the structure starts with the foundations being properly and professionally laid. Materials have to meet the challenges of a high water table or standing rainwater. Only reliable waterproofing of the foundation and base will ensure the durability of a building.
Triflex SmartTec is the universally applicable roof and building structure waterproofing solution. The innovative, liquid applied waterproofing technology is particularly suitable for application on damp, mineral substrates. Ideal for the treatment of both complex details and full surface applications, this material moulds itself seamlessly to the substrate of the structure, thus ensuring a long-lasting and reliable solution.

The waterproof-concrete construction method has been used in a range of practical applications for decades. In addition to underground car parks, waterproof-concrete is also used to build roofs and components that are in contact with soil – often including subsequent greening. Although this construction method has proven effective, damage can still often be seen today at recurring weak points, which include the construction and settlement joints of the individual components as well as the penetrations. Triflex JWS is a fleece-reinforced waterproofing system for concrete joints, and is used specifically in new builds and in the refurbishment of white tanks. The system design consisting of high-quality PMMA resins is resistant to hydrolysis and roots and rhizomes in accordance with FLL specifications, and can also be used in areas in contact with soil.

Top decks and parking decks are often large areas that are subject to severe loads and stresses. Expansion joints absorb the movements from subsidence, expansion, vibrations and additional traffic loads. The joints themselves must be reliably sealed for the parking deck waterproofing or coating to provide reliable protection for the concrete substrate. Triflex ProJoint+ is a joint waterproofing system comprising fleece-reinforced liquid-applied waterproofing and protected by a carbon fibre-reinforced polymer joint profile. Expansion joints and surfaces can be waterproofed with the same resin. There is no need to change materials.
