Tummers - Model E²E - Steam Closure
When drying potatoes into flakes, a large part of the moisture in the mashed potatoes has to evaporate. This steam is blown outwards, resulting in energy loss, odor nuisance and horizon pollution. But that is now in the past. By placing the hermetically sealed E2E SteamClosure over the drum dryers, the released vapor is collected and led to the E2E FlowCondenser. There it is converted into water that can be reused for other purposes. This sustainable solution renders the production of flakes completely free of steam and odour emissions, which is a genuine breakthrough!’
Tummers - Drum Dryer
To dry potato mash a thin, perfectly distributed layer of mash is introduced onto a heated cylinder (drum dryer) which evaporates excess moisture. This is followed by the next new layer of mash. The process is repeated until the layer of mash is sufficiently thick. The layer of potato mash is then scraped off and broken into smaller pieces (flakes) by the PreMillSifter attached to the drum dryer.
Tummers - Inspection Belt
The Tummers inspection conveyor belt allows for a final visual check on the products before they undergo further processing. Sub-standard potatoes and foreign objects can be removed by hand. If required, the Tummers inspection conveyor belt can be expanded with a centre rail for sub-standard products, discharge funnels, discharge conveyors, metal detectors and a platform.
