The processing of waste for use as a fuel such as Refuse Derived Fuel or Solid Recovered Fuel is achievable through a MSW or C & D / C & I waste stream. Materials with high calorific value such as paper, cardboard, wood and plastics will be separated from the waste stream by means of automated separation equipment. Not all plastics are suitable for use as a fuel source. Plastics with a high chlorine content such as PVC will removed from the waste stream by means of optical technology. All ferrous and non-ferrous content will be removed out of the raw product prior to a RDF/SRF being produced. The RDF/SRF can be produced to any size or specification including European Standard CEN343.

Glass has many uses as a recyclable material from shot-blasting to filtration media and we can create turnkey solutions which integrate into your existing plant, creating glass recoverables of different sizes depending on your needs.

 Fines are the smaller particles (under 60mm) which are left over after any recycling stream has been processed. Upgrading your plant to have a Fines Clean Up processing stream means you will be able to recover approximately 50% of these fines as valuable commodities.  Having Fines Clean Up will both reduce your landfill costs and improve your recycling commodities revenue.
