Umicore Precious Metals Refining operates the world`s most sophisticated precious metals recycling facility. We recover 20 precious and non-ferrous metals from industrial residues, used electronic scrap, automotive and industrial catalysts and fuel cells.

Umicore Electro-Optic Materials supplies germanium-based material solutions to customers around the world. Our main markets are thermal imaging and opto-electronic applications, for which we supply germanium wafers, infrared lenses and optics, and germanium-based chemicals. We guarantee our customers secured access to germanium supply and provide unique solutions to treat a wide variety of germanium containing recycling streams.

We are one of the world`s leading producers of catalysts used in automotive emission systems for light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. Our catalysts perform in a wide range of powertrains, including gasoline and diesel engines, natural gas, and alternative fuels, and are increasingly important in engines supporting mild and full hybrid vehicles. By focusing on superior technology in the development of automotive emission catalysts, we help our customers to produce more fuel-efficient vehicles and meet present and future requirements of environmental legislation.

Our business delivers high-quality products and solutions for industrial and commercial use. We offer precious metals for crafting new jewelry, and we also recycle old jewelry and production scrap, thereby creating a closed loop.

We develop, scale up, manufacture and globally market and sell metal-based catalysts, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) precursors.
