Union Connector products

Union Connector manufactures outlet boxes that are NEMA 1 enclosures with panel mount or pigtail mount wiring devices. These outlet boxes are UL Listed and available as surface, recessed or pipe-mount. The typical connectors provided are the 20A. 2P&G, or L5-20 Locking or 5-20 U-Ground. Union Connector can also manufacture outlet boxes with 60A. 2P&G, 100A. 2P&G or other NEMA type connectors. Call for details. This outdoor rated Generator Connection Box contains “series 16 cam devices” for portable cable connection to the facility or facility switches. These connectors are standard, inexpensive and familiar to generator operators. Portable cable entry into the enclosure is through a secure hinged door on the bottom of the enclosure. Series 16 cam inlets are mounted on a dead-front panel inside the Type 3R enclosure and provide a method for safe connection of portable cables by qualified personnel. The front door can be secured with a padlock for added security. These Generator Connection, or Tap Boxes, are designed for use in waste water treatment facilities, community centers, gas stations, hospitals, fire / police stations and other facilities requiring portable power during utility outages.

This outdoor rated Generator Connection Box contains dual-rated mechanical lugs for generator portable cable connection to internal bus bars. This type of connection is typical when portable cables are not provided with Series 16 Cam or Posi-Lok™ connectors. Appropriate sized mechanical lugs are mounted on the bus bars for easy connection of such “bare ended” cable. Portable cable entry into the enclosure is through a secure hinged door on the bottom of the enclosure. The mechanical lugs provide a method for safe connection of portable cables by qualified personnel. The front door can be secured with a padlock for added security.
