Unisearch - Differential Optical Absorption Spectrometer

Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy or DOAS, is based on the principle of measuring the differential absorption of the incoming signal in the wavelength region of interest after it has passed through a gas medium.  It uses a broadband light source and the measurement is made over a large wavelength range (like FTIR and NDIR, and unlike TDL that uses a very narrow wavelength range). In general, overlap of absorption features of several gases is observed. This requires the use of multiple regression methods of analysis. The concentrations of a gases are calculated by comparing the absorption signals with their stored reference signals. As in any broadband measurement technique, interference from other gases must be taken into account and corrected for to improve accuracy of measurement. This requires a prior knowledge of the gas composition before the final measurements can be made.

Unisearch - Industrial FTIR Monitoring System

The IMx Monitoring system is a highly modular Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) monitor that can be configured by the user to perform one of several different monitoring tasks. The IMx consists of a base unit and snap-on accessories. The accessories allow for A. extractive monitoring (e.g. stack or process control) using one of several different cell configurations or B. open path monitoring (e.g. cross-stack or open-air) using telescope based accessories. All units are NEMA enclosed for use outdoors or in explosive environments and configurations exist for internal or external computer control.

Unisearch - Gas measurement instruments

These are a series of lightweight, highly sensitive instruments, based on a novel surface chemiluminescence. Suited for indoor and outdoor monitoring and ideal for applications where battery operations and lightweight mobility are required, such as on aircraft. The principle of operations is very simple. The sample air is drawn through the instrument by a micro pump and flows across a fabric wick wetted with a prescribed solution. The solution is continuously replenished at the top of the wick and removed at the bottom by a liquid mass flow system. Surface reaction of the monitored gas results in chemiluminescence. The resultant signal from the photomultiplier is directly proportional to the mixing ratio of the gas in the air.
