United Retek Process

The United Retek process can recycle between 500 and 1,200 tons per day depending on the physical composition of the contaminated soil. For large projects, this rate can be readily scaled up to accommodate site needs

Hazardous Soil Stabilization

The process stabilizes petroleum-contaminated soil with proprietary asphalt emulsion formulations. The process binds the contaminants and renders them environmentally unavailable. For hazardous materials (TCLP), the process uses pozzolanic additives to stabilize the soil.

Dredge Stabilization

United Retek`s Dredge Stabilization is cleaning up the Nation`s Waterways. From the 1940s to the 1970s, manufacturers discharged wastes containing PCBs and toxic metals into Harbors, resulting in high levels of contamination throughout the waters, sediments and biota of Harbors and Bays. Hundreds of acres of marine sediment were highly contaminated

Services / On-site Processing

United Retek Corporation performs on-site ambient temperature stabilization / solidification recycling of contaminated soils for a broad spectrum of private and public sector clients. United Retek stabilizes/solidifies and recycles contaminated soils containing: Virgin petroleum, Waste oils, Hazardous metals, Coal gasification, Manufactured gas plant (MGP) wastes. The method involves adding a reactive form of reagent and sometimes a ph buffer (when necessary) to the metal-bearing waste. Divalent metal cations, and especially lead, arsenic, cadmium, and chromium react with the reagents to form very insoluble compounds. The chemistry is well known and is based on solubility product data that have been in the literature for decades. The Retek Process utilizes proprietary chemical formulations specifically for metal-bearing solid wastes (patent protected) and materials handling procedures based on the needs of each particular site.

Services / For Hire Remediation Systems

United Retek offers for hire a wide range of solidification/stabilization equipment including: pugmills, Silos, screeners, crushers, specialty pumps, insulated bulk tankers. The company has been in business since 1987 offering environmental equipment oriented services.
