Laboratory Services

Bench Level Testing Service

Unlike commercial laboratories, Ursus does not provide results to satisfy a regulatory commitment, but provides data to engineers, scientists, and regulators to make sound scientific and economical decisions. Ursus generates this information by applying years of analytical testing experience with, remediation investigations, and applied treatment technologies.

Field Testing Service

Ursus uses customized procedures to monitor chemical application and treatment effectiveness in the field.

Heavy Metal Treatment Studies

Metal Treatment Chemistries Service

Ursus has the expertise to test a variety of proprietary and non-proprietary technologies to stabilize heavy metals, and treat co-mingled metal and organic wastes.

Heavy Metal Stabilization Testing Service

Ursus has the expertise to evaluate a variety of treatment chemistries to stabilize heavy metals in soil, groundwater, and wastes. Contrary to chemical vendors that test only their treatment product, Ursus does not have a proprietary treatment chemistry, therefore, we test a variety of chemistries, both proprietary and non-proprietary, to determine the most effective economical treatment approach.

Treated Metals-Waste Types Services

Ursus personnel have conducted multiple metal treatment studies utilizing a variety of proprietary and non-proprietary treatment chemistries. Ursus has the capabilities to treat a wide array of heavy metals including:

Organic Treatment Studies

Organic Treatment Chemistries Service

Ursus has the expertise to test a variety of proprietary and non-proprietary technologies that can mineralize organic contaminants and treat co-mingled metals and organic wastes.A summary of some of the chemistries Ursus is proficient in using are shown below.

Organic Studies

Ursus has the expertise to evaluate a variety of treatment alternatives in a number of scenarios. Chemical oxidants and reductive dechlorination chemistries can be evaluated depending on the site geochemistry, contaminants of concern, and contaminant concentration. Data generated during an organic study is used to assist in the design for In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) remediation. Organic studies are conducted on soil and groundwater from the site. The materials are treated in a manner to simulate the proposed remediation approach. Varying approaches may include chemical injection, physical mixing, and batch treatment. Ursus can conduct the studies using a variety of methods that best meet the remediation objectives.

Treated Organics/Waste Types

Ursus has the experience to treat an array of organic materials contaminated including soil, groundwater, sludge, industrial wastes and sediment.
