USF Water Group products

USF Water Group covers all possible treatment stages for the safe cleaning of your water. We always focus on your needs and also the content of raw water – because each water type is different. USF Water Group can rely on a large, existing product portfolio.

Our water treatment units of the series UltiMATE, OptiMATE, EcoMATE, DoubleMATE-RO and the CDI-/CEDI systems produce purified water in the purity levels of Purified Water and Highly Purified Water; their performance ranges are from 200 l/h up to 20,000 l/h. All models comply with the guidelines of the European Pharmacopoeia and the United States Pharmacopeia USP.

With our RingMATE system and storage tank we offer an individual solution for the storage and distribution of your ultrapure water to every point-of-use, in a way to reduce the risk of any bacteria growth or any other contamination of the water. Sanitization can be carried out with constant ozonisation of the storage tank or hot water. A UV unit is used as additional bacteria control. The ultrapure water reaches the points-of-use via an engineered distribution system.

The USF filter systems function by means of cartridge filtration or on the basis of a multimedia filter, and purify up to several hundred cubic metres per hour, with potential filtration of up to 5 µm. They are controlled with the help of central control valves or – particularly in large systems – by means of PLC and single valve operation. For the piping materials, we rely on plastics (PVC, PP, PVDF) or stainless steel, and the filter vessels are also optionally available in stainless steel.

The USF softener units purify both small volumes and several hundred cubic metres of water per hour. They are controlled by means of central control valves or – for large systems – through PLC and single valve operation. Small systems run in duplex mode, i.e. one softener vessel is in operation and a second is in standby mode. Parallel operation is used for larger systems: both vessels are in operation and are constantly traversed, which is advantageous for critical microbiological applications. The softener units work through volume or quality control by means of online hardness measuring. We use plastics (PVC, PP, PVDF) or stainless steel as pipe materials, and the filter vessels are also optionally available in stainless steel.

Our ultra filtration systems ensure the perfect raw water supply for reverse osmosis. Water volumes from 0.5 m3/h up to several hundred cubic metres per hour are purified. The systems are always controlled via PLC through single valve operation. Operation functions entirely automatically with cyclical back-washing of the UF membranes with filtrated product water. Dosing pumps are optionally used for disinfection or for purification during back-washing. We use plastics (PVC, PP, PVDF) or stainless steel as pipe materials.

Reverse osmosis systems from USF, which are also available as combination units with built-in softener units, process from 30 l/h up to several hundred cubic metres per hour. They are controlled either by microprocessors or through PLC. Remote maintenance is possible. We offer reverse osmosis systems for operation with softener units or for hardness stabilised feed water, or optionally also systems with the USF ConcRO concentration stage which increase recovery to up to 90 percent. An optionally availably high pressure pump with frequency converter ensures that the amount of permeate produced is always kept constant – at lower feed water temperatures it would otherwise be lower. We manufacture the high-pressure pipes from stainless steel and the low-pressure pipes from plastics (PVC, PP, PVDF) or stainless steel.

Ultra-pure water systems from USF treat water from 30 l/h up to several hundred cubic metres per hour through a combination of reverse osmosis and continuous electro de-ionisation (EDI/CEDI). Continuous electro de-ionisation is a chemical-free water treatment process.

IONPURE®-LX-HI modules are the only CEDI Modules world-wide, which can survive a guaranteed minimum of 150 hot water sanitisation cycles (80°C). With constant performance the LX-HI module dramatically increases the system availability and the effectiveness of the sanitisation. This module is the first choice when sanitisation with hot water is desired and therefore ideally suited to the pharmaceutical industry.
