The Eagle type H drawbar is designed for use primarily for 3 to 5-ton capacity trailers. The Eagle type CB drawbar serves the dual purpose of both drawbar and load binder. Two standard lag screws or bolts (not specified) are inserted through the holes drilled in the drawbar channel, securing the drawbar to the king pole. The remaining poles loaded around the king pole are lashed securely to the king pole with the cable of the pole binder. The type CB drawbar is designed for heavy duty service and is equipped with a heavy drop forged pintle ring. This type of truck-to-trailer hitch permits balancing of load over trailer axle. The pole binder and drawbar combination should be used when hauling extra long poles on trailers not equipped with extension tongues.
