Compactors
For companies that produce large quantities of low density compactable waste, the cost of waste disposal may be reduced by the use of Compactors. By compacting waste material the volume of waste is reduced making better use of the capacity of the waste container. This reduces the number of empties required, therefore reducing transport costs. Compactors are available in both static and portable versions and range in size from 14 to 35 cubic yards. Utopia Waste Management can supply both new and refurbished compactors on a rental or purchase basis and provide full training and maintenance cover.
Balers
Balers are ideal for companies that produce large quantities of cardboard, plastic or paper waste. By baling such materials companies can not only improve their recycling rates, but in some instances can also generate revenue from the baled materials.
Rollpacks
Rollpack machines are useful for companies that produce very large quantities of softwood packaging waste such as pallets and crates. Waste is compacted into a 35 cubic yard container using a rotating spiked drum attached to a mechanical arm which rolls back and forth over the waste. The capacity of the container is therefore maximised, reducing the number of empties required and subsequently reducing transport costs.
