The IES system (Integrated Environmental System) is a complete logistics system for waste and recyclables. The VDL Translift IES collection vehicles are designed to collect waste from all common standard-sized bins, bags and underground containers. This body variant with demountable system can be broken down into three elements: collection, transfer and transport.

In addition to the body variant with demountable body system (IES), a fixed body variant (FS) is also available. This FS system (Fixed System) uses the same modular design and can be fitted with any of the VDL Translift loading modules. This means that the collection and efficiency benefits of the sideloaders are now also available to users who cannot deploy a logistics solution.
