Air handling units (AHU) are the lungs of any HVAC system. An air handling unit is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. The AHU takes in outside air, reconditions (filtered and either heated or cooled) it and supplies it as fresh air to the air conditioned room. As “VENTECH” air handling units are used in harsh environments, it is essential that they are made of high-quality materials to withstand the extreme climate conditions. The AHU is made of galvanized steel or stainless steel and has an aluminium frame with double-walled panels made of galvanized steel (stainless steel as option). Explosion proof fan motors are available on request.

“Ventech” offers Cabinet fans for supply and exhaust air. The Cabinet fans for supply (Fresh air) are supplied with Pre- filters whereas no filters are required to be provided in the Cabinet fans for exhaust air.

An Evaporative Air Cooling System is an economical substitute for Air-conditioning System to provide comfortable environment in places where dry and hot climatic Conditions prevail. There occurs no effective heat transfer from air in absolute terms, but it is only transformation of sensible heat energy of air into latent heat and as a result the dry bulb temperature of air reduces. When the dry and hot fresh atmospheric air passes through cellulose fill chamber or atomized spray of water through nozzles , the dense atomized/ water particles evaporate drawing the required heat energy for evaporation from the air stream as a result of which the dry bulb temperature drops substantially. However, as the water so evaporated is absorbed by the same mass of air the total heat energy content (enthalpy) of air remains unchanged, and it is essentially an adiabatic process as per the thermodynamic terminology.
