The VGB Materials Laboratory now has over 30 years’ experience in the field of damage analysis and condition assessment of power plant components, and in practically oriented research and development in the field of materials technology. We perform the associated work both on site with our customers and in our state of the art in-house laboratory.

The oil lab offers all services for oil management with its state-of-the art lab for the analysis of lubricants and insulating oils. These oils are applied in conventional power plants and in plants for renewable energy conversion as well as in industrial plants and plants of the chemical and steel industry

The aim of construction and installation supervision is to improve plant safety and availability in new plant and during overhauls. The construction and installation supervision team represents the interests of the customer vis-à-vis the supplier. Compliance with contractual stipulations is monitored in accordance with instructions and standards.

The Chemical Investigation covers the chemical issues of Feed-Water-Chemistry, Conditioning Treatment and Operation mode. Chemistry fits well in the Portfolio of the Operational Services.

Contractor`s check for Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Protection. SeSaM is a service provider`s qualification for energy companies operating with contractors. On the basis of a checklist Including Questions Relating to Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Protection Contractors must prove before the final contract thatthey meet the high standards of the relevant energy companies. .According To thatthey are centrally listed in the relevant VGB data base. As the qualification is based on national law, sesame is only of major national interest.
