Model CAS 104-51-8 - N-Butyl Benzene or NBB

N-Butyl Benzene or NBB is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H14. The CAS number of this compound is 104-51-8. It is a colourless almost pale yellow liquefied gas at room temperature. Butylbenzene has 2 isomers of which n-butylbenzene contains a phenyl group attached to the 1 position of the butyl group. It has a sweet aroma and is slightly greasy in texture. It is a highly flammable liquid and evaporates speedily. Normal Butyl Benzene is less dense than water and insoluble in it.

Model CAS 135-98-8 - Secondary Butyl Benzene (SBB)

Secondary Butyl Benzene (SBB) or sec butylbenzene (CAS 135-98-8) is a colourless flammable liquid with an aromatic odour. Its chemical formula is C10H14 with a molecular weight of 134.22 g/mol. It is alkyl benzene and its structure has a benzene ring substituted with a sec-butyl group. Sec butylbenzene is nearly insoluble in water and miscible with alcohol, ether and benzene. SBB is widely used in the flavours and fragrance industry. Vinati Organics is a leading manufacturer of SBB with the highest quality and purity.

Speciality Monomers

Model CAS 15214-89-8 - Acrylamide Tertiary-Butyl Sulfonic Acid

Acrylamide tertiary-butyl sulfonic acid is a very unique versatile vinyl compound that has a sulphonic group. Its uses are widely found in the production of polymers, textiles, flocculants, dispersants, scale control agents and well-additives. The CAS number of this compound is 12514-89-8 and the IUPAC name is 2-acrylamido-2-methyl  propane sulfonic acid. ATBS monomer is highly polymerisable and can be just as easily depolymerised with the help of acrylonitrile, acrylic acid, acrylic esters, acrylamide etc using basic methods. The quality that makes this compound unique is its strong hygroscopicity. It collects the moisture from the surroundings and collects itself together when it comes in contact with water.

Model Naatbs - Sodium Salt of 2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropane Sulphonic Acid

NaATBS is a chemical compound that is generally used by polymer manufacturers where it acts as a commoner along with other acrylic monomers like acrylamide and acrylic acid to produce polymers. Depending on the factors like co-monomer, concentrations, degree of polymerization, etc numerous polymers of NaATBS can be made. Other names of NAATBS are Sodium AMPS,  2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulphonic acid and has a CAS number 5165-97-9.

Model TBA - N-Tertiary Butyl Acrylamide

TBA is a special monomer that belongs to the group of hydrophobic acrylamides. This chemical compound can be synthesized by Ritter Reaction and optimized using N-tert-butyl acetate and acetic acid. The molecular formula of this compound is C7H13NO. It has the appearance of a solid colourless powder and has a characteristic smell. The CAS 107-58-4 is often found in plastic and polymers.
