Virtus Equipment single-shaft industrial shredders for plastics recycling have a powerful two-speed swing ram design. Therefore, eliminating the risk of blocking and wearing out internal guide rails. This versatile single shaft shredder can be used for shredding all types of material and is well-suited for plastics recycling.

The SG-Series Shredder Granulator Combination combines a shredder with a granulator in a single-spacing, size reduction system for the processing of plastic production waste. The shredder segment is equipped with a 400 mm diameter E-type rotor using Virtus Equipment`s proven knife and knife holder design. It is driven by a high-torque gear drive which, in comparison to a direct drive, also handles tougher input materials well. The large material hopper and the powerful horizontal pusher allow the processing of voluminous as well as heavier parts. The lower system segment consists of a 3-blade granulator rotor based on the C-series. The shredder and granulator are matched to work together ideally and in conjunction with an advanced control system ensuring smooth reliable operation.

Virtus Equipment`s L 30 series is a single-shaft plastics lump and purge shredder with a tangential infeed eliminates the need for a hydraulic feeding system. Its compact and maneuverable design and ‘plug and play’ controls give this shredder total flexibility and ease of use. Like the G, V, and X series shredders, the L 30 is driven by an oversized gearmotor and equipped with outboard bearings. It has a 310 mm diameter flat E-type rotor using the proven Virtus Equipment knife holder and knife design in 600 mm or 850 mm widths. The user-friendly design allows for simple and efficient cleaning and maintenance. The L 30 lump shredders’ low rotor speed of 60 rpm and compact design makes it possible to shred lumps at a relatively low noise level. The shredder can be manually or conveyor fed with material discharge by conveyor or into a dropbox.dvanced controls.

Virtus Equipment`s P-Series plastics pipe profile industrial shredder is the world’s first single-shaft shredder capable of handling large diameter pipes up to 1200 mm without the need for pre-cutting. It is available in rotor diameters and widths from 800 mm up to 1500 mm, and the standard hopper accepts pipe lengths up to 6 meters. The combination of advanced controls, low rotor speed, and smooth hydraulics create a reliable and easy-to-use system.

Virtus Equipment`s A 18 slow speed plastics granulators feature a staggered 180 mm diameter rotor in widths from 180 to 430 mm; concurrently, the A 30 series has a 300 mm diameter rotor in widths from 400 to 800 mm. A geared motor directly drives the rotor. As well as, its low speed reduces our grinder’s noise level and creates less dust while grinding. The A-series’ specially-designed knives can be sharpened easily and don’t require adjustment afterward.

Virtus Equipment`s C-Series compact soundproofed beside the press granulators are designed with a complete soundproof enclosure resulting in quiet operation. Different rotor designs are available in 300 mm, 500 mm, and 700 mm diameters in widths from 300 mm to 1400 mm. A completely welded cutting chamber, in conjunction with the V-cut rotor technology, ensures dependable operation and universal application use. While delivering excellent soundproo?ng capabilities, the granulator’s housing still offers easy and quick access to the cutting chamber during rotor and stator knife changes, servicing, or screen changes. Accordingly, the C-Series beside the press soundproofed granulators use the latest sound dampening technology and materials.

Virtus Equipment`s C-Series Tangential Compact Soundproofed Granulators feature a compact soundproofed enclosure and sound dampening hoppers. Our granulators are available in two rotor diameters, 250 mm and 400 mm in widths from 300 mm to 1000 mm. While the smaller machines feature an open F-type rotor, the granulators rely on a heavier S-type rotor. In addition the curved back wall of the cutting chamber ensures aggressive ingestion while also avoiding blockages. Furthermore, the rigid design makes them dependable units and includes advanced standard features such as replaceable wear plates. As on all Virtus Equipment granulators, the rotor and stator knives are adjusted outside of the machine to reduce downtime for maintenance.

Virtus Equipment H-Series heavy duty granulators offer a wide range of rotor designs and hoppers.  Our central  granulators can be customized to meet the most demanding plastics size reduction applications.   These central granulators have completely welded heavy steel construction designed to withstand the most demanding and universal applications.  Rotor bearings, knife mounts, and rotor shaft are oversized to meet the demands of industrial recycling.  Virtus Equipment grinders standard V-cut creates a high-quality regrind with a very low percentage of output material fines. In addition the removable deflector wedge acts as a third stator blade and allows the grinder to be quickly adjusted to different uses. Other standard features include easily replaceable wear plates in the cutting chamber as well as outboard bearings reducing the risk of contamination.

Virtus Equipment's The P Series Pipe and Profile Granulators for plastics are available in rotor widths of up to 1400 mm and diameters ranging from 560 to 700 mm. The completely-welded, heavy-steel cutting chamber is angled and fitted with an extended hopper to allow easy feeding of parts. The standard V-cut creates  high-quality regrind with a very low percentage of fines in the output.  Other standard features include a hydraulically-opened hopper for outboard bearings reducing the risk of contamination.
