The MD-415 is the smallest of the VMI horizontal dredge line yet still provides all the great features and functionality of our larger horizontal dredges. With the MD-415 you get the benefit of transporting this unit as a one piece non-permit truck load. This dredging machine is ideal for small dredging jobs or situations that demand reduced flow such as feeding filter presses or belt presses. Built with the same high quality construction and workmanship as its larger counterpart, this machine features the full-width flow through horizontal cutter head in combination with a hi-chrome recessed impeller pump to provide you with maximum performance and durability. The treble sheave traverse winch provides excellent gripping force and line pull to move the MD-415 aggressivley into material while minimizing cable wear yet maximizing production.

The MD-615 is the midsized model in our horizontal cable driven dredge line up. For many years this has been the machine of choice for a wide range of dredging applications. Featuring our patented full width suction flow thru cutter head combined with our hi-chrome cast iron recessed impeller dredge pump allows material removal and solids production widely outperforming our competition. Being one piece transportable it is easy to move in and out of locations. Built to last and loaded with features you get both maximum performance and reliable durability.

The MD-815 is one of the largest in the standard VMI horizontal dredge line. With all the features of our smaller horizontal cutter models this machine produces over 3000 GPM of flow . With the standard recessed impeller pump able to pass spherical solids up to 7 ¾” inch diameter this machine is ready to tackle virtually any material moving a massive amount of solids. With all its power and features the MD-815 is still one piece transportable. The optional boom extension kit adds five feet of digging depth, bringing the maximum reach of this dredge to an impressive twenty feet. Quality and features are built throughout making this the choice of operators needing the ultimate in production. This model is also available with an optional closed vane impeller pump for special applications.

The MD-822-SP features a 2-speed twin auger drive system along with a cable drive allowing the ability to switch between cable propulsion and self-propulsion for different dredging applications. It provides the same dredging power and capability as the MD-815 with the addition of self-propulsion eliminating the need for cable. The dredge allows the ability to switch between the twin auger drive system and cable propulsion with the flip of one switch and one lever.

The MD-850 features two engines and two high power independent thrusters for self-propulsion along with a 50ft (15m) digging depth capability. The thrusters tilt up for traveling across shallow depths and for maintenance. The dredge breaks down into sections to reduce the overall length for transportation. This machine features the full-width flow through horizontal cutter head with dual drive motors for increased cutting torque in combination with a standard hi-chrome recessed impeller pump to provide you with maximum performance and durability. An optional closed vane impeller pump is available to suit different dredging applications.

The Titan 8 cutter suction dredge comes equipped with a 10 inch (250mm) suction and 10 inch (250mm) discharge pump and a standard maximum dredging depth of 20 feet (6 meters). The Titan series is a conventional cable swing dredge line with the ability to use either spuds and/or a tail winch to suit different applications.

The VMI Titan 10 cutter suction dredge comes equipped with a 12 inch (300mm) suction and 10 inch (250mm) discharge pump and standard maximum dredging depth of 27 feet (8.2m). The MDX line provides a high level of performance in a compact, sectional design for transportation by trucks or containers. Our dual acting boom cylinders provide power up and down so additional force may be applied downward on the cutter head while digging. The spuds feature a rack and pinion drive system that provides power up and down allowing the ability to force the spuds down into the ground to better hold their position. Our free floating spud option allows the ability to place the spuds into free sliding mode for changing water levels while the dredge is not in use. Optional maximum digging depths up to 42 feet (12.8 meters), tail winch, and different cutting edges are available.

The VMI Gladiator 12 is equipped with a 14 inch (355mm) suction and 12 inch (300mm) discharge pump and maximum dredging depth of 30 feet (9.1m). This dredge features heavy duty construction for maximum durability and long life. A large operator cabin provides plenty of space for operator comfort, storage, and additional personnel. The dredge easily breaks down into sections for transportation.

The remote dreding system offers vmi customers two modes of operation to provide the flexibility to confindently pursue any dredging job. The control console communicates with the dredge through a state of the art digital spread spectrum radio system that provides a reliable connection free of interference. The remote dredging system can operate for up to 12 hours on a single battery charge or connect to any 12 volt power source to operate indefinitely.
