The BOFA FireBOX MA is a dedicated, inline filter with inbuilt fire suppression systems designed to protect main extraction units from the risk of drawing up metal swarf and dust that may be smouldering or molten. These are often generated during laser cutting and engraving processes, milling and grinding of metals or any other application that generates enough heat to potentially ignite the extracted dust.

If a smouldering ember is drawn into the fume extraction unit, there is the likelihood that the filter contents could ignite. Any resultant fire would normally be contained inside the extraction unit, but this could cause noteworthy damage and in extreme conditions the hazard may extend beyond the extraction unit. For a process where such dangers can be identified, extra assurance in an inline FireBOX is recommended

This is a replacement bag filter for the BOFA DP250 & DP400 Dust Extraction Systems. The filter can be easily fitted by the operator in situ. Not sure which filters you need? The optional suction arm is equipped with a self-supporting structure with reinforced springs and thanks to the standard length of 3 meters it can be easily positioned within its field of action.
