Inertia Dynamics - Clutches/Clutch Couplings
SL series power-on clutches are used to couple two parallel shafts. The armature hub assembly is mounted to the same shaft as the rotor assembly. The armature hub accommodates a pulley, gear, sprocket, etc., to transmit torque to the second shaft. The field assembly is mounted on the shaft and retained by a loose-fitting pin or bracket through the anti-rotation tab.

All sizes have ball bearing armature and field assemblies for heavy duty applications, allowing higher shaft speeds and side loads to be achieved. All BSL clutches are shaft mounted for easy installation and operate in the same manner as our SL series clutches.

The D2750 Accel/Decel control provides soft starting and stopping to full torque. This control allows for adjustment of the acceleration and deceleration time ramps to achieve a repeatable soft start or stop, while still allowing the clutch or brake to reach full torque.
