WAT-membratec plants are utilized in all cases where water needs to be purified or conditioned for special purposes:

They are implemented in municipal drinking water supply e. g. for the purpose of deironizing, demanganizing, and deacidification.

As prerequisite for hygienically flawless drinking water from springs, dams or lakes which are subject to enormous influences of the catchment areas, the ultrafiltration process where particles are optimally retained has very much gained in importance. The biggest reference lines so far in Northrhine-Westfalia have been equipped with WAT-membratec system technology. Our scope of delivery also comprises equipment of modular design for medium-sized and small facilities.

A multitude of WAT-membratec treatment and processing equipment, starting from cooling water treatment up to ultra pure water supply, designed to meet the requirements of medicine, pharmaceutics and semiconductor industry, can be found in service and utility plants of hospitals, research centers and other buildings of special use.

But WAT-membratec`s scope of task is not limited to the provision of pure media. The delivery programme of WAT-membratec also covers neutralization, detoxification, disinfection and decontamination systems for the proper treatment of partially high-polluted waste water arising in these areas.

In addition to the preparation of high-grade water (softened, partly and fully demineralized) which is used for both as raw material for products and as utility for cleaning and energy transmission purposes, the conditioning of circuits with special metering chemicals for corrosion and deposit prevention is required in most varying production and manufacturing factories, starting from steel making and metal finishing through chemical, paper, textile and electronics industry up to food processing industry.

As a result of continuously growing legal and economic requirements there is also a higher demand for the installation of plants for the reuse of water and valuable substances. In this field of application especially the membrane systems by WAT-membratec have proven quite often a success. Great importance has attached to the permanent development and testing of new possibilities and capabilities of application. In the case of e. g. production-integrated environmental protection this concerns besides the water the separation processes in most varying product flows.

Moreover any kind of utilization of water in the power engineering and power plant industry represent a focal point. Water is demineralized by ion exchange or membrane systems and then treated in thermal degassing equipment with subsequent chemical conditioning for the use as boiler feedwater. The scope of supply of WAT-membratec includes corresponding plants for the purification of district heating, condensate and cooling circuits. Besides filters and ion exchangers, catalytic, vacuum and membrane degassing systems are employed in these cases of application. Our delivery program comprises also environmental-friendly and cost-saving heat recovery systems.
