Hi-Rate Clarifiers

Waterex has been supplying Hirate (Hi-Rate) clarifiers since our inception. Through Waterex’s proven Hirate (hi-rate) clarifier design, sedimentation is encouraged through the development of a sludge blanket. With installations in applications such as mining, municipal, meat works applications, the Waterex Hirate design is recognised performer. Sizes range up to 35 m diameter or 58,000 m3/hr/unit feed as standard. Auto dilution - flip plate assisted mixing and hydraulic agitation realised without any moving parts. Three polymer injection lances fitted as standard. Hydraulic, static thickening of underflow with auto floc seeding systems fitted for many applications. Materials of construction selected from protected mild steel, stainless steel of all types, duplex steels and FRP. Underflow rake drive system supplied for dense underflow applications.

Pin-Bed Clarifiers

Waterex was one of the first companies to realise the potential of low overflow clarity technology. Developing our Pin-Bed technology in conjunction with our small footprint technology allows our units to be at the very forefront of this technology. Waterex’s patented Pin Bed clarifier technology combines a clarifier with an up-flow filtration step to achieve high overflow clarity. Pin Bed clarifier applications include ultra-fine solids, gypsum and gelatinous solids removal. Frequently Waterex’s units deliver overflow clarities of less than 10ppm (10mg/L). Waterex has designed and supplied units capable of flows in excess of 1,850 m3/hr made from materials such as FRP, epoxy coated mild steel, 316ss, LDX2101, SAF2205 and even one unit from SAF2507.
