WeldFit’s ReCAP® Emissions Recovery System is a pipeline depressurization and gas recovery solution that does one simple, yet important, thing in support of your ESG-driven methane emissions reduction goals: It eliminates the need for voluntary natural gas flaring or venting associated with blowdowns during common pipeline operations. With ReCAP®, pipeline operators can safely and easily reduce methane emissions by recapturing gas from pipeline sections that have been isolated for depressurization and then rapidly transferring that gas to an adjacent pressurized system. Gas recovery rates may reach up to 99.99% in some cases. And with ReCAP’s Straight-Line™ Performance—WeldFit’s patent-pending technology that produces a near constant and, more importantly, predictable depressurization rate from start to finish—the critical work that follows can begin on time.

CONFIDENT HSE PERFORMANCE: The horizontal design eliminates the need for access platforms and lifting equipment, reducing safety risks and the cost of transportation and field installation. The electric drive system can be powered by 115 VAC or 24 VDC Class 1, Division 1 & 2 compliant power to eliminate supply gas, supply gas treatment, and emissions. All units are hydrostatic pressure tested in accordance with applicable codes. Each unit is designed to all applicable safety design factors and inspected in accordance with all applicable pipeline codes (B31.8, B31.4, B31.3, Sec. VIII Div. 1).

Completion plug secured with segment screws. The valve is recovered once the job is completed. Eliminates fabrication stress risers. No run-to-branch weld. Designed with integral reinforcement. Manufactured in multiple material grades from A234 WPB to WPHY-70.

Designed for pipeline relocations. Side outlet allows a lower profile to mitigate clearance concerns. Optional bottom tie-in configurations. Plugs available with pig guide bars.
