WENDT - Modular Advanced Pre-Shredder System

The revolutionary development of the EZR Pre-Shredder offers North American auto shredders unparalleled efficiency and flexibility. The EZR Pre-Shredder uses low-speed, high torque technology to homogenize hammermill feedstock. This allows a shredder to easily achieve full box shredding, increasing tons per hour while decreasing the wear on castings. The Pre-Shredder also provides operators the ability to catch and remove unshreddables prior to the shredder, greatly reducing the chances of catastrophic failure at the mill.

WENDT - Auto Shredder Enclosures & Emission Control

Encapsulations: WENDT CORPORATION offers Shredder Enclosures with exclusive partner ILG International for noise reduction, occupational safety, stability, and durability. ILG enclosures are specifically designed to handle over-pressure events and the extreme environment around an auto shredder. WENDT customizes enclosure layouts to ensure they are sized to fit a customer’s site-specific requirements. Structural steel is detailed and sourced domestically, providing customers a more cost-effective solution. Structures are designed by WENDT to meet local code requirements while also obtaining a Professional Engineering stamp for the customer.

WENDT Magstands - Ferrous Cleaning & Separation

Custom-designed based on individual customer needs, WENDT offers complete ferrous downstreams that are designed to separate and recover shredded steel. WENDT’s Magstands feature electro-agitating scrap drums with multiple alternating magnetic coils to flip the material and release entrapped waste. Our industry proven magnet configuration offers superior liberation and minimal entrapment. From single drums to double drums, WENDT offers a variety of Magstand arrangements and sizes.

WENDT - Air Separation System

Entrapped waste and magnetic dirt carried by the drums can be separated by the Z-Box Air System. The latest generation of the air separation system incorporates a lined abrasion-resistant Z-Box with integral conveyor seals and full recirculation of process air to prevent airborne particulate escape. Our Closed Loop option provides for full recirculation of the Z-Box air through use of air knives at the conveyor interfaces. The high-velocity air curtain created prevents particulate escape from the system without relying on pressure differentials. The Z-Box can be used before or after magnets in a ferrous downstream system.

WENDT - Shredder Duty Infeed Conveyors

The WENDT Shredder Duty Infeed Conveyors maximize throughput by feeding cars and loose sheet metal more efficiently to the shredder. They can be supplied in a variety of configurations, lengths and discharge heights to service any new or existing shredder. Heavy steel plate bridge girder type construction. Four impact rails in the loading section, two rails on remainder of conveyor. D-4 Chain, idlers, segmented drive sprockets, and curved or straight back grousers. Hydraulic drive motor with variable high-speed power unit or mechanical drive with VFD control. Optional three chain design with two-rail configuration.

WENDT - Batch Feeder System

WENDT’s unique portfolio of configurable batch feeding systems are specifically built to handle raw, unsized automobile shredder residue (ASR) with pokers and oversized material removed. Our Tumbleback Feeder (TBF) systems deliver superior separation performance with a consistent, volumetrically controlled flow of feedstock.

WENDT - Trommel Screens

WENDT Trommels are developed with a rotary-type screen designed to separate material into three particle sizes: small, large, and overs. WENDT offers three size options for Trommels: 5′ x 25′ Square, 8′ x 40′ Round, 8′ x 50′ Round.
