Air & Dirt Elimination Equipment
Wessels - Air & Dirt Separators
Air & dirt separators are designed to eliminate entrained air and separate debris associated with start-up and maintenance of any hydronic system. The design incorporates a skim valve, used to eliminate floating debris, a removable end cover for coalescing medium access, and an air vent to automatically release air from the separator. U.S. Patent No. 10,708,538. Wessels manufactures air and dirt products built in accordance with the ASME code.
Wessels - Air & Dirt Separator
Patented removable cartridge. Enhanced higher flow rate performance. Built in accordance with ASME code. Rated to 250°F and 150 PSI. WesMag® included. Extended 5 year warranty.
Wessels - In-line Air Purgers
In-line Air Purgers are used for commercial and industrial hydronic systems, to effectively control and eliminate entrained air. Choose from nine models: AP-104, AP-105, AP-106, AP-108, AP-110, AP-112. AP-114, AP-116 and AP-118. Wessels’ AP-104 Series is constructed of cast iron. All other AP Series are constructed of fabricated steel.
Buffer Tanks
Wessels - Multi-Purpose Tanks
Wessels ASME Multi-Purpose Tanks (WMT) are designed for multiple functions. The four multi-configurable connections allow for primary/secondary hydraulic separation with buffer energy storage for either hot or chilled water systems. The buffer volume slows fluid velocity resulting in increased air elimination. The included WesPro Super Filter Baffle coalescing media further increases air & dirt elimination efficiency. For ferrous impurities, the WesMag filtration system can be installed for additional particulate removal.
Buffer Tanks - Chilled Water Buffer Tanks
Wessels - Chilled Water Buffer Tank
Wessels ASME Chilled Water Buffer Tanks (CBT) are designed for chilled water systems with insufficient water volume capacity in relation to the chiller capacity. Relatively low water volume systems require additional “buffer” capacity for the systems to eliminate problems such as excessive chiller cycling, poor temperature control, and erratic system operation. The properly sized CBT adds the necessary volume to “buffer” the system volume.
Buffer Tanks - Hot Water Buffer Tanks
Wessels - 2-Port Hot Water Buffer Tank
Wessels ASME 2-Port Hot Water Buffer Tanks (HBT) are designed for use with today’s high efficiency systems that incorporate small modular low-mass boiler. These small volume systems require additional “buffer” capacity for the systems to eliminate problems such as excessive boiler cycling, poor temperature control, and erratic system operation. The properly sized HBT adds the necessary thermal mass to the system to dampen fast transitions and minimize boiler cycling that occurs during zero or low domestic load conditions.
Wessels - Glymatic System
Wessels Glymatic system consists of a free-standing solutions reservoir that contains the glycol/water or water solution at atmospheric pressure. A pressurization assembly is mounted on the solutions reservoir’s high density polymer cover, keeping the pressurization unit off the floor. The Glymatic automatic make-up package utilizes a pressurization station designed to draw fluid from a 6 or 15-gallon reservoir and automatically feed pressurized fluid at regulated pressures between 1 to 25 PSI. This solution will remain stored at pressure until it is needed to replenish the system that has lost its glycol/water or water solution.
Smart Tank Series
Wessels - Expansion Tanks
Wessels Type NLA-WG Smart Tanks are ASME removable bladder type pre-charged expansion tanks with WessGuard® bladder monitor. They are designed to absorb the expansion forces and control the pressure in heating/cooling systems.
Wessels - Hydropneumatic Tank
Wessels Type FXA-WG Smart Tanks are ASME removable bladder type pre-charge hydropneumatic tanks with WessGuard® bladder monitor. FXA tanks are commercial and industrial well and water systems, booster systems, or other potable water applications. They are designed to deliver water under pressure between pump cycles to provide sufficient flow to meet demands. The water is contained in a NSF Listed butyl bladder. If the bladder extends beyond the normal movement, WessGuard® monitor will activate an audible and LED alarm to notify maintenance staff of a potential system issue. In the case of compromised bladder integrity, water level will rise to activate the alarm.
HVAC Expansion Tank
Wessels - Bladder HVAC Expansion Tanks
Wessels type NLA removable bladder expansion tanks are designed for use in hydronic heating/cooling systems to absorb the expansion force resulting from the changes in temperature of the heating/cooling fluid. They’ve been intelligently designed to include a WessView bladder integrity monitor and integrated air-side pressure gauge.
