Western Tank and Lining has been installing bolted steel tanks and reservoirs in Western Canada and various other locations around the world for over 25 years. We offer a turnkey supply and install package with sealed drawings and calculation sheets. Our crews install the subgrade plumbing, tank foundations, reservoir, and internal piping as required by the project. Where required, we also provide an engineered thermal calculation sheet and based on this insulate and clad the reservoir to prevent freezing.

Western Tank & Lining Ltd. supplies and installs heavy duty corrugated galvanized steel storage tanks. These tanks are very well suited for agricultural, industrial, water, and wastewater storage applications where open top tanks are specified (steel roofs, floating and sealed covers are available). Steel tanks are less costly to maintain, and much more durable than concrete or earthen containment systems.

Western Tank & Lining HDPE geomembranes are the preferred products for lining projects requiring low permeability, exceptional chemical and ultraviolet resistance properties.

WTL Environmental Non-woven geotextiles are polypropylene, staple fiber, needle-punched geotextiles engineered for filtration, soil stabilization, separation, drainage and gas transmission, cushion and liner protection applications. Our products are available from a 4 oz/yd² to a 32 oz/yd² mass per unit area.

Bentomat CL is a reinforced geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) composed of two carrier geotextiles needlepunched together to encapsulate a layer of Volclay sodium bentonite. A composite lamination gives the GCL excellent hydraulic performance and provides puncture and tensile strengths beyond conventional plastic membranes. Bentomat CL is ideal for landfills, ponds, surface impoundments and other containment projects.

Bentomat CLT is a reinforced geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) consisting of a layer of Volclay® sodium bentonite between two geotextiles, which are needlepunched together and laminated with a flexible textured HDPE sheet. The addition of the HDPE sheet to the GCL increases the hydraulic resistance by an order of magnitude over that of standard GCLs. The textured surface of the HDPE sheet also increases the interface friction between the GCL and adjacent substrate when a greater interface friction is required on certain projects. This product is mainly used in liquid containment and landfill cap applications, but the versatility of the product allows it to be considered in many other applications.
