The WIDOS Miniplast/2 is a welding machine for the heating element butt welding of PE, PP and PVDF pipes and fittings from OD 20 to OD 110. Due to its light and compact construction, the machine is ideally suited for the use in pipeline systems and for assembly work. In case of stationary use, the machine can be fixed in the vice or with the table support. The basic machine has two large aluminum basic clamping tools which are swiveling 15° on each side for the fabrication of segmented bends. By screwing in 8 small reduction clamping inserts, a double clamping is obtained at smaller diameters. For fittings with short legs, a small fitting clamping tool is available as an option. Due to the special construction of the pressure build-up device, the machine can be fixed directly at very short pipe ends on walls and sheets.

By using different reducer inserts of a small, large or extra-large type, all clamping options can be realized. For fittings with extremely short legs, solid steel clamping tools in small version are available. The solid base with ball-bearing guidings, spindle and power input damped by springs enables quick movements for short change-over times as well as a soft pressure build-up.

The WIDOS 4400 can be used to process pipes and fittings out of PE, PP, PA and PVDF from OD 50 up to OD 160. The WIDOS 4400 features a double clamping device with quick clamping on the fixed and on the movable side. These are guided by 2 shafts. There are 2 flexible hoses with quick-action couplings for the connection to the hydraulic control unit. The double clamping devices are screwed to the steel pipe frame. The outer fixed clamping device can be easily dismounted by removing 3 screws in order to weld at difficult accessible places, e.g. in trenches or at branches of T-pieces. The remaining unit of three rings can be removed from the base frame and used for repair work. The WIDOS 4400 is thus a 4-ring and a 3-ring machine in one device.
