Wilco was formed in 1981, but has its roots dating all the way back to 1952, where it started as the Wills` Nursery in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The company has progressed from general soft landscape and environmental work to large and high profile civil and infrastructure projects. The nature of our work has developed from subcontracting to operating as the prime contractor on several high profile projects simultaneously.

Over the last 30 years, Wilco has remained unchanged in its commitment to quality, service, and production efficiency. This emphasis has developed our reputation for completing projects that are built to last, and our establishment as the premier contractor in Western Canada. From Vancouver to Thunder Bay, Wilco Southwest has become a national leader in civil and landscape construction.

Wilco is committed to comprehensive safety programs, including project specific work procedures. Wilco staff are trained in Prime Contractor, First Aid, Leadership for Safety Excellence,WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, and several other certificate safety programs. Wilco is a member of the Calgary, Saskatoon, and Regina Construction Associations, LANTA, Alberta Roadbuilders & Heavy Construction Association, and many other professional organizations. In addition, Wilco currently holds a Certificate of Recognition with the City of Calgary.
