By using a combination of twin or triple offset shredder heads we are able to process tissue or any other light crêpe paper into a product size most suitable for the small pet animal bedding industry. The shredded tissue paper is usually sold in small plastic bags ranging from 100g to 2Kg packs. Shredded tissue has excellent absorbency and hygienic properties and is cost effective. These shredding systems are manufactured to customer requirements, with standard outputs ranging from 500kg/ph to 2000kg/ph.

Our Wilki shredding machines have been used in the security shredding industry for many years providing our customers with reliable and safe document destruction. The shredders are available as a standard strip cut machine or as a shredding & chopping machine to give a cross cut for shorter strips. The shredders are available with various cutter sizes and cutting widths ranging from 500mm to 1200mm, with output levels from 500kg/ph to 2000kg/ph.

With the ever-increasing cost of packaging and void fill materials, it makes economic sense to produce your out going void fill packaging from your incoming waste cardboard and paper. By using one of our range of Wilki shredding machines, you are able to process waste paper and cardboard into small chips for dense packaging or void fill, or longer strips to get an entwined material developed for packaging more delicate items. These systems are designed to save money by reducing the cost of both void fill and packaging materials, but also waste disposal costs. Our Wilki shredding machines have outputs of 500kg/ph to 2000kg/ph.

Waste reduction is a very important aspect of our environment and we supply a range of shredding and baling machines for this purpose. All of the baling machines are designed to work with our range of Wilki shredding machines to provide the complete, turnkey solution to your waste reduction objectives.

The MINI Complete Shredder System is a recent addition to our range, compact in design to occupy a smaller footprint, with lower output, whilst carrying out all the same functions as the larger MAXI system. A single operator can operate the system efficiently, although two operators are advised to achieve maximum capacity. The system consists of a 500i Shredding Machine unit, a Weighing Conveyor unit, a twin ram poly-pack Baler unit and a Dust Extraction system. A central, touch screen control panel controls the system.

The MAXI Complete Shredder System produces up to 100 x 20kg bales per hour. The system consists of 1200i Shredding & Chopping Machine (1200mm infeed), an Air Conveying unit, a Weigh Hopper unit, a Conveyor unit, a triple ram poly-pack Baler and a full Dust Extraction system. There is a central control panel to carry out all functions of the system with the benefit of touch screen controls.

Using our design department we are able offer the customer a bespoke service from a single shredding machine to a full system, or to adapt and modify into existing equipment with all the electrical and mechanical work carried out. All our equipment has been designed on a modular format to give the customer the ability to increase their capacity in the future without replacing all the equipment.

A weigh hopper is an item of equipment that is required when there is a need to collect and accurately weigh a product prior to the next process. We primarily manufacture weigh hoppers for measuring shredded materials (see video), but also with the use of our in house design facility for many other applications. All weigh hoppers can be fed by gravity,belt conveyors, screw, vibratory feeders or air conveyors.

Wilki Engineering design and manufacture bespoke and standard belt  conveyors up to 10 metres long and 1.5 metres wide. Our standard conveyors are primarily designed for handling shredded paper and cardboard within one of our shredder-baler systems because of their simple construction and reliability. In addition we build material feeding conveyors hoppers and longer distance material moving conveyors. Our in house design service specialises in flat sorting conveyors for material recovery.

Our Wilki weighing conveyors are designed to carry out two functions. The first, to transport product from one point to another, and the second, to weigh the load on the conveyor belt. There is also a specially constructed collection hopper at the base of the conveyor, which also weighs the product. These conveyors are usually suspended on four weigh cells similar to the weigh hoppers. We use a weighing conveyor on our MINI Compact Shredder-Baler System (see video), due to its simplicity, size and cost saving advantages. Wilki Engineering are able to design and manufacture bespoke weighing conveyors for any application.
