W.S. Tyler - Test Sieves
W.S. Tyler developed the basis for the first Test Sieve standard over 100 years ago. Repeatable test results and particle size distribution curves from laboratory to laboratory are extremely important to quality control programs.
W.S. Tyler RO-TAP - Test Sieve Shakers
W.S. TYLER developed the Ro-Tap Test Sieve Shakers in the early 1900s. Until that time, sieving was primarily performed by hand. The design intent was to replicate and mechanize the hand motions. Today, the Ro-Tap Test Sieve Shaker, with its rotating movement and tapping energy, provides for the most consistent, repeatable sieving analysis results. The Ro-Tap is the required test sieve shaker in many industrial specifications. Currently, there are no industry standards governing the calibration of the unit itself. W.S. Tyler recommends the product users develop their own quality control program. Today, the Ro-Tap is available in 5 models. The RX-29 for 8” test sieves, RX-30 for 12” test sieves, RX-94 Duo Shaker for two 8” test sieve stacks, RX-29 E (Electronic) for 8” sieves, RX-30 E (Electronic) for 12” sieves, and RX-812 Coarse Sieve Shaker. Metric equivalents: 8” diameter = 200mm diameter and 12” diameter = 300mm.
W.S. Tyler - Cpa Particle Size Analyzer And Particle Shape Analyzer
The HAVER TYLER CPA 2-1 from W.S. TYLER is the newest member of the Photo-Optical Particle Size Analyzer and Particle Shape Analyzer group. The unit is ideally designed for laboratory use. Its measuring range is focused on the particle sizes of the traditional test sieving process W.S. Tyler’s CPA exclusive software technology examines particle size and shape characteristics with sophisticated digital line cameras, employing photo optics to perform particle size distribution analysis. A series of machine models examine particles sizes within the ASTM E11 standard range and above. The CPA conveys dry, free flowing material samples to be examined by the camera lens, which is making approximately 20,000 scans per second. This technology provides consistent, repeatable results.
W.S. Tyler - Wet Wash/Deep Frame Sieve
For use in the cement industry where water is introduced to the test sample. 3", 8", and 12" diameters with drain holes in the sieve skirt for drainage. All Wet Wash Test Sieves are constructed either in the more durable all stainless steel or with a brass frame and stainless steel sieve cloth. All test sieves above include drain holes in lower frame. Available in US #4 – 325 meshes. 35 mesh backing is recommended for U.S.A. #200 and finer.
W.S. Tyler RO-TAP - Sieve Shaker
The industry standard in test sieve shakers, W.S. Tyler’s RO-TAP® has a unique two-dimensional operation: A horizontal, circular motion and a vertical, tapping motion. This special action allows material particles to stratify and “seek” critical openings in the test media. This unit provides the most accurate and consistent particle analysis testing. The RX-29 model is designed for testing with 8" diameter test sieves; the RX-30 model is designed for testing with 12" diameter test sieves.

W.S. Tyler is the exclusive distributor in North America for the Hosokawa ALPINE Air Jet Sieve e200 LS, a revolutionary product for vacuum-driven particle size analysis. Air jet sieving is an efficient process that uses air flow as the only variable that sieves the material being analyzed. 200mm in diameter. Overall Height – 1-3/4". Depth to Cloth – 1-1/8". For use with Air Jet Sieving Systems. Each Test Sieve is supplied with a Serial Number and a matching Test Sieve Certificate of Compliance.
