Wastewater Screens

Dual Stream - Band Screens

The Dual Stream screen provides debris removal, dewatering and compacting all in one robust, efficient design. This continuous, self-cleaning band screen is available with filter and perforated plate panels. The unique design allows the flow to enter the center of the screen and exit the bottom and two sides of the grid assembly.

Link-Belt - Cable Operated 4-Rope Bar Screens

The Link-Belt® 4-Rope Bar Screen is a fixed bar rack, cable type front cleaned screen. As flow passes through the screen, debris is captured against the bar rack. The debris is then removed by the rake teeth that engage into the bar rack to lift debris up to the discharge point where a wiper deposits it into either a sorting tray, compactor, grinder, conveyor or container.

Link-Belt - Catenary Style Bar Screens

Rugged and reliable, Link-Belt Catenary Bar Screens are commonly used in unattended applications such as CSO control facilities, where the debris loads can be heavy and varied. Sprockets, bearings and shafts are located above the maximum water level, facilitating ease of maintenance and the potential for damage and corrosion. The rakes bear against the face of the bars by the catenary action of the chain. The chains are not guided which means that the rakes can ride over an obstacle without jamming or overloading.

Wastewater Screens - Multi-Rake Bar Screens

Guardian - Fine Screen

The Guardian® Fine Screen is a self-contained, front cleaned chain and rake bar screen, specifically developed to provide outstanding performance for a wide range of screening requirements. The design includes a stainless-steel frame, high-strength stainless steel bushed roller chain and replaceable non-metallic sprocket tooth segments mounted on stainless steel hubs. Stainless steel carrying rakes include removable tooth segments. The stainless-steel boot design includes a removable bottom mounting plate with integral inlet ramp/bar rack support, designed to capture virtually all channel debris. The simple, low profile, compact head section contains a stainless-steel wiper assembly and heavy-duty ball bearing take-ups. This unique and innovative product, and the design concepts utilized, is the result of over 100 years of screening experience.

Wastewater Screens - Multi-Rake Bar Screens - Envirex Chain & Rake

WSG - Bar Screen

The REX® Series 1000 Bar Screen is a self-contained chain and rake type screen. The screen can be supplied with either a fixed mounting, or it can be designed to pivot out of the channel. The debris is captured by the bar rack and removed by multiple rakes from the upstream side of the screen. The screen is constructed of stainless steel. The bar screen is designed to operate at regular intervals, 24-hours per day. A start timer initiates the cleaning cycle to remove the collected debris from the bar rack. The unit will cycle until two (2) rakes have passed the stop limit switch at which time the unit will shut down until another cycle is initiated. The off timer is adjustable to suit site requirements. A float switch or differential control can be provided to override the timer and initiate a cleaning cycle.

WSG - Bar Screen

The REX Standard Duty/FR (Front Return) Bar Screen is a self-contained chain and rake type screen. The screen can be supplied with either a fixed mounting, or it can be designed to pivot out of the channel. The debris is captured by the bar rack and removed by multiple rakes from the upstream side of the screen.

WSG - Heavy Duty Bar Screen

The REX Heavy Duty/FR (Front Return) Bar Screen is a self-contained chain and rake type screen. The screen can be supplied with either a fixed mounting, or it can be designed to pivot out of the channel. The debris is captured by the bar rack and removed by multiple rakes from the upstream side of the screen.

Grit Removal - Aerated Grit Collectors

Link-Belt - Grit Collector

The Link-Belt Type AS Grit Collector is designed for small plants with flows up to 10 MGD. The unit consists of a hopper with an inclined screw and grit washer for removing and washing grit. Air is provided to maintain uniform velocities at all flows. The unit uses compressed air through diffusers to create and maintain circulating velocities of 1 to 2 fps. This produces optimum conditions to separate grit and organic matter at all flows.

Link-Belt - Grit Collector

The Link-Belt Type ASB Grit Collector will handle flows of 1.5 MGD or more. The system uses a longitudinal screw in the bottom of the chamber to move the grit to a bucket elevator which lifts it to a discharge point. A type SW grit washer is used to wash and dewater the collected grit. The Type ASB Grit Collectors are available with Swingfuser aerators which provide maintenance accessibility to diffuse without draining the grit chamber. For flows greater than 20 MGD, or grit loadings over 124 cu ft / hr, the unit can also be furnished with a separate screw drive on the lower grit screw to accommodate the higher grit volume.

Grit Removal - Horizontal Flow Grit Collectors

WSG - Chain & Bucket Grit Collector

The Rex Chain & Bucket Grit Collector can be used in shallow or deep grit chambers with flows up to 40 MGD. The high-capacity V-type buckets have end and bottom drains and are mounted on two strands of chain. The chain and bucket conveyor scrapes the grit toward the influent end of the chamber and elevates the grit to a discharge point where it is deposited into a SW Grit Washer, screw conveyor, belt conveyor, or discharge receptacle. The C&B Grit Collector can also be designed with the Gritreat System for grit chamber aeration. The REX® Gritreat assures positive flow control for predictable grit quantity and quality.
