Environmental Information System
Recognizing that sound environmental management relies on a comprehensive database on the environment, YES is equiped with the tools for assisting organizations, industries, government agencies and private sectors in providing a systematic and orderly set of structure and procedure for managing information related to the environment in an ingenious and innovative manner using information technology. YES"s Environmental Information System (EIS) uses GEOENVIRONMENT, a new environmental information and management system intended as a planning and assessment tool for EIS. The system, developed under the EUREKA R&D program with participants from 25 European countries and the European Commission, is a tool for planning, enforcement and surveillance purposes can be used with or without the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in place. In live with the IT era, YES can assist organizations in establishing the EIS for various scope of applications depending on the needs of organization. As part of YES"s services, training and technology transfer in the use and application of the EIS shall also be integrated with the services.
