Electrically Actuated Gas Control Valves
Young-Franklin - Gas Splitter / Transfer Valve
YF’s proven line of Electro-Mechanical Actuators (EMA) is designed to be a drop-in replacement of OEM supplied hydraulic actuators used on DLN splitter and transfer valves. YF’s Digital Motor Controller (DMC) accepts the existing -8mA to +8mA servo commands, eliminating command.
Young-Franklin - Electric Stop/Ratio Valve
The Young & Franklin 8655 Series Electric Stop/Ratio Valves are designed to regulate fuel pressure and provide rapid fuel shutoff capability. Fail Safe to closed position is accomplished by the use of two torsion springs. The actuator is suitable for fuel modules in Class 1 Div 2 Hazardous Locations.
Young-Franklin - Choked Flow Gas Control Valves
The Young & Franklin 3010 Series sonic flow Gas Control Valves (GCVs) are electro-mechanically actuated (EMA)
to provide excellent speed and valve position accuracy. This GCV electronically homes on power cycle and has a turndown ratio of ~100:1. The entire YF 3010 Series is certified for use in hazardous locations around the world and available in a range of sizes suitable for industrial or power turbines of any size.
Hydraulically Actuated Gas Control Valves
Young-Franklin - Gas Control Valves
These two-way gas fuel control valves provide variable flow control in applications requiring highly linear critical gas flow relative to valve stroke. Control valve positioning is effected through a triple coil, two-stage servo valve that recieves a +/- 8 mA command from the controller in proportion to position feedback as measured using two LVDT`s. This closed loop control scheme ensures accurate fuel metering based on valve position.
Young-Franklin - Stop/Ratio Valves
The two-way stop/ratio gas valves provide variable flow control in applications requiring highly linear critical gas flow relative to valve stroke. The hydraulic actuator assemblies provide safe turbine fuel shutoff and reliable valve positioning. Control valve positioning is effected through a triple coil, two-stage servo valve that recieves a +/- 8 mA command from the controller in proportion to position feedback as measured using two LVDT`s. This closed loop control scheme ensures accurate fuel metering based on valve position.
Young-Franklin - Aux/Stop Valves
The YF 8580 Series Aux/Stop Valve Assemblies provide fast and reliable shutoff of gas fuel flow to the combustion system of a large industrial or utility gas turbine.
Electric Guide Vane Actuators
Young-Franklin - Electric Guide Vane Actuators
The Young & Franklin 8650E250 Series EIGV Actuators are built to withstand the rigors of frame turbine operating environments. These electric actuators are an upgrade from hydraulic air inlet controls, providing more reliability and better overall turbine performance. The E250EIGV Actuators are available with peak force of 11,200 lbf. and 1.97 in stroke length. The 8650 Series features a sealed gear-train lubrication system, is self-contained and requires minimal maintenance. The entire assembly has been tested to over 20 years at temperature and load.
Young-Franklin - Electric Inlet Guide Vane Actuator
The Young & Franklin 8650 Series EIGV Actuators are built to withstand the rigors of large frame turbine operating environments. These electric actuators are an upgrade from hydraulic air inlet controls, providing more reliability and better overall turbine performance. The EIGV Actuators are available with forces up to 30,000 lbf. and various stroke lengths. The 8650 Series faatures a sealed gear-train lubrication system, is self-contained and requires minimal maintenance. The entire assembly has been tested to over 20 years at temperature and load.
Young-Franklin - Electric Nozzle Guide Vane Actuator
The Young & Franklin 8650 Series Electric Nozzle Guide Vane Actuator (ENGV) is an electromechanical actuator (EMA) for positioning the nozzle guide vanes (NGV) of a turbine output section. The actuator is available with forces up to 22,500 lbf. and various stroke lengths. The 8650 Series ENGV features a sealed gear-train lubrication system, is self-contained and requires minimal maintenance. The entire assembly has been tested to over 20 years at temperature and load.
Hydraulic Guide Vane Actuators
Young-Franklin - Inlet Guide Vane Actuator
Used for Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) positioning and control of industrial or utility large frame gas turbines, the 8277 Series Severe Service Hydraulic actuators will force the IGV’s closed in the event of a turbine trip. Ruggedized and proven to withstand the harsh control conditions associated with high dither rates.
