The ML-x17 data logger is a small, ultra low power, cost effective data logger with built-in 2G, 3G or 4G cellular modem. This small data logger, is further provided with an internal temperature sensor, 8GB micro SD card and a 2FF SIM card slot. The data logger is available with several power provisions e.g. a 3.6 Volt Lithium battery, 8..28V DC input or integrated solar panel with 3 x AA NiMH charger.

The ML-017 data logger is similar to the ML-217, but is lacking the cellular communication abilities. This model is suitable for stand alone data logging or remote/wireless data logging by connecting it to an Iridium satellite transceiver or equipping it with a WiFi module. The interesting priced ML-017 is a "byproduct" subject to availability, its a regular produced data logger with a switched-off cellular communication part, because that part did not pass our factory tests due to a malfunctioning or wrong/none assembled modem or RF component.

Option boards can be used to add additional inputs/features to an ML-x17 data logger or to perform signal conditioning. You can mechanically stack up to 3 option boards, but only one board per category ID (CID). Some boards are having a switch to choose a different CID, so you can stack multiple similar boards. Converter(OC) or Power (OP) boards don`t have CID`s and you can stack as many OC/OP-boards as mechanical feasible. OC-boards don`t make use of the internal control bus, but are wired to existing inputs/outputs/ports.

Remote monitoring of parameters like progress of growth, obstruction or levels of garbage can be hard or expensive to accomplish and the only feasible solution is visible inspection (e.g, visible inspection of a trash rack in a waterway or a garbage container at a public spot). To go on site for visual inspection can be a time consuming business. We have implemented a camera interface in our low power remote data loggers to avoid unnecessary visual inspection visits. The only thing required is our data logger with our camera and a pole or wall to mount it.

The GPS-E3329 with embedded GPS antenna is very suitable GPS receiver for low power data logging applications.

The CON-USB is a PA66/IP68 waterproof external USB-B connector. The set exists out of chassis part with a 16mm diameter thread, a termination cap and internal cable assembly with female connector that mates with the internal USB male connector of the ML-x17 datalogger.
