ZEBCARE - Zebrafish Genotyping Rack for Aquatic Research
ZEBCARE has developed a standardized Zebrafish Genotyping Rack that significantly streamlines genotyping processes by accommodating up to four of R&D Aquatics' DC-96 genotyping tanks. Each tank is partitioned into 24 compartments, effectively allowing for the housing of 96 zebrafish within the system. This modular design facilitates easy tank removal and insertion while each tank is equipped with an independent water supply and drainage system. The rack is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing zebrafish husbandry or other aquatic research systems, which is particularly advantageous as it maintains the zebrafish in their familiar water conditions, thereby minimizing potential disruptions to experimental results. Custom modifications of the rack can be made to suit specific research needs. The system's integration capability with pre-existing set-ups ensures it is adaptable and user-friendly for a variety of research environments.
ZEBCARE - Zebrafish Husbandry System
Zebcare has developed a specialized standalone zebrafish husbandry system designed to cater to the housing needs of zebrafish research lines. Based on over three decades of experience, this system provides optimal conditions for maintaining zebrafish genetic lines with stable water quality and ensures high animal welfare standards. The system incorporates a coated stainless steel rack with optional glass aquaria or polycarbonate fish tanks. A sophisticated filtration unit beneath the tanks includes biological and mechanical compartments, alongside UV disinfection, to maintain high water clarity and health standards. It has a compact footprint of 1.5 x 0.7 meters and stands 2.5 meters tall. Optional features can include a controllable LED lighting system, tap water filtration, or a salt- and acid dosing setup. For larger facilities, multiple racks can be connected to a centralized filtration and monitoring system. This makes it a suitable choice for many European zebrafish facilities.
