pH Control Systems for Industrial Water Treatment

Zebra - Coolant pH Test Strips

Coolants are designed to be alkaline, to neutralize the acidic emissions of bacteria which enter the fluid pool via the water supply, work material, our skin, and a host of other sources. Reduction of bacterial growth can be achieved by removing tramp oil, aerating the fluid, and filtering particles. When these protocols are not in place, coolant failures can occur.

Tramp Oil Management Solutions

Zebra - Belt Oil Skimmer

Steel, heavy-duty construction. Removable, easy-to-clean oil collection tray. Continuous-duty, fan-cooled motor. Self-tensioning belt on fixed lower pulley (to 24”). Hanging lower pulley design (36” and up). Dual wiper set with lifetime warranty. One year warranty all other parts (except steel belts). Accessories shown below.

Zebra - Model FM60-7309 - Portable Coalescer

Separates water and fines from straight cutting oils, removing water and particles. Extend life of straight cutting oils, removing water and particles for its reuse, Improve efficiency of tools and machining processes, Simplifies your life with one piece of equipment.

Zebra - Muscle Oil Coalescer

Continuously cleans, filters, and aerates to prevent static sump rancidity. Intake attachment options to suit almost any application. Coalescing media increases surface area for faster separation. Improved Internal Oil Discharge Skimmer (IODS) dispenses virtually coolant-free oil. Oxygenator™ aerates the barrel to prevent bacterial contamination. Particle filtration option for sumps with coolant degrading chips. Small, centrifugal pump fits in almost any sump (diaphragm pump options available). Leak-proof fittings keep your shop cleaner. Durable hoses, w/customized length options, resist crimping and crushing. Built-in siphon system empties the whole barrel in minutes. One year warranty.

Zebra - Smart Disk Skimmer

Saves you nearly $300 per year over Simple Disk Skimmers. Integrated Diverter knows the difference between floating tramp oils and coolant. Continuous-duty, fan-cooled motor. Rugged steel construction. Lifetime warranty on disk and scrapers, one year on all other parts. 2 quarts per hour oil removal capacity. 1/2x12” (13x300mm) sump access needed (for 12” disk model). Maximum temperatures of 80°F (27°C).

Zebra - Disk Skimmer for Heavy Oil Removal

Handles heavy oil loads from coolant and washwater applications. Intermittent-duty motor (refer to Smart Disk Skimmer for continuous-duty motor and coolant-free output). One year warranty (lifetime on disk and wiper set). Up to 5 gallons per hour oil removal capacity. 1/2”x12” (13x300mm) sump access needed (for 12” model). Maximum temperatures; 80°F (27°C) for high-impact disks for coolant 212°F (100C) for high-temperature disks for wash water. Recommended accessory shown below.

Managing Concentration

Zebra - Venturi Coolant Mixers for Metalworking Fluids Management

Proper fluid mixing provides superior emulsions resulting in consistant concentration values. Maintaining consistent concentration values extends sump and tool life while improving machined surfaces. It also provides a savings for raw material useage.

Zebra - Water Shut-Off Valve Mixer

Separate water shut-off valve. Machined from solid bronze casting with galvanized steel standpipe. Stainless steel models available for caustic concentrates. Maximum viscosity of 500 SUS. 40” discharge tube included, max length delivery (for longer delivery needs, please refer to the proportioning pump series). Minimum 25psi needed (75psi max). Recommended Accessory: Lockout for tampering prevention (#MIXXLOCK).

Zebra - Sump Level Control for Water Reservoirs

Have a water supply close to almost every sump? Then, why fill manually? Automate your fluid top-off process to save labor time and lower material costs.

Water Hardness Management

Zebra - Water Hardness Testing Sticks for Coolant Monitoring

Metalworking fluid is formulated with water that lacks any minerals. However, tap water contains many. And, since your coolant only accumulates more minerals over time due to evaporation (more than 5% per day by volume), water hardness, if not addressed, can lead to problems.
