Zion Enviro - Chemical Dosing Systems
The metering pumps are positive displacement reciprocating pumps provided with stroke adjustment mechanism to vary flow of liquid as per requirement. Accuracy of flow is controllable within + 1%. Of the two parts of the pump, the Drive End mechanism is enclosed in a housing filled with oil to minimise wear and tear. The Liquid End, being of critical importance, is made of material suitable for the liquid to be pumped.
Zion Enviro - Nano Filtration System
Nanofiltration, in concept and operation, is much the same as reverse osmosis. The key difference is the degree of removal of monovalent ions such as chlorides. Reverse osmosis removes the monovalent ions at 98-99% level at 200 psi. Nanofiltration membranes’ removal of monovalent ions varies between 50% to 90% depending on the material and manufacture of the membrane. For this reason, there is a variety of Nanofiltration membranes available. Each type is particularly suited to a certain application and may not be acceptable to a different application. Nanofiltration membranes and systems are used for water softening, food and pharmaceutical applications.

Zion Enviro - Multi–Grade Sand Filters
The term "multi -grade,” refers to a type of filter bed which is graded by size of sand. Coarse less dense particles are at the top of the filter bed, and fine, denser particles are at the bottom. Down flow filtration allows deep, uniform penetration by particulate matter and permits high filtration rates and long service runs. Because small particles at the bottom are also more dense (less space between particles), they remain at the bottom. Even after high-rate backwashing, the layers remain in their proper location in the mixed media filter bed.

Dual media filter contain anthracite in combination with sand supported by pebble and gravels. This filter consists of a layer of anthracite (1.25-2.5mm) resting on a layer of fine sand (1 mm - 1.5mm) Anthracite is coarse and has more dirt holding capacity as compared to sand.

A demineralizer system consists of one or more ion exchange resin columns, which include a strong acid cation unit and a strong base anion unit. The cation resin exchanges hydrogen for the raw water cations and the anion resin exchanges hydroxyl ion for raw water anions. The equipment used for cation-anion demineralization is similar to that used in softening. The primary difference is that the vessels, valves, and piping must be made of (or lined with) corrosion-resistant materials. Rubber and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are commonly used for ion exchange vessel linings. The controls and regenerant systems for demineralizers are more complex, to allow for such enhancements as stepwise acid and warm caustic regenerations.

Osmosis is the flow of solvent through a semi-permeable membrane, from a dilute solution to a concentrated solution. This flow results from the driving force created by the difference in pressure between the two solutions. Osmotic pressure is the pressure that must be added to the concentrated solution side in order to stop the solvent flow through the membrane.

Ultra filtration system is an important purification technology used for the production of high-purity water in the biochemical, food and beverage,and biopharmaceutical industries. The ultrafilter is a tough, thin, selectively permeable membrane that retains most macromolecules above a certain size including colloids, microorganisms and pyrogens. The pores of ultra filtration system membranes can remove particles of 0.001 – 0.1 µm from fluids. Ultra filtration systems eliminate the need for clarifiers and multimedia filters for waste streams to meet critical discharge criteria or to be further processed by wastewater recovery systems for water recovery.
