BREATHING AIR SYSTEMS CASCADE SYSTEM AS7-4 (without regulator) or CASCADE SYSTEM AS7-4R (with regulator), or equivalent 1 The system shall be comprised of four (4) new dual rated psi, ASME approved, 504 cu.ft @ 5250 psi or 605 cu.ft. @ 7000 psi, 9-1/2” x 55” cylinders. 2 Each cylinder is to be ported for moisture removal. Cylinders are to be painted yellow with a 9”x6” vinyl label stating the cylinders pressure rating and gas the cylinder is being used for. Each cylinder is to have been internally inspected prior to valving and an inspection sticker attesting to this shall be placed on the cylinder. 3 Each cylinder is to be fitted in one end port with an appropriate spring-loaded safety relief valve. Safety valves shall be wire sealed. In the other end port of each cylinder is to be fitted a 2-1/2” 0-7500 psi gauge, a shut-off valve and a tee fitting. The cylinders are to be connected to each other with flexible pigtails, in sequence. the side or bottom port of each cylinder is to be fitted with a drain valve. 4 The cylinders are to be mounted and secured in a solidly constructed steel rack, horizontally, 2 wide by 2 high or in a free standing vertical rack. This rack is to be adaptable to the stacking of additional racks later, if desired, (horizontal rack only). Add H or D to the part number, to indicate horizontal or vertical rack. 5 A high-pressure flexible 6000 psi hose of 8’ length is to be provided to connect the cascade system to the compressor. 6 A five year warranty is to be provided on all cascade components, including cylinders, valves, fittings, gauges, etc. Note: If this cascade system is being purchased along with a compressor, the following may be added as specification number 7. 7 The delivery technician will hook up all of the above components at the time of the compressor start-up and test the entire system to full working pressure.
