9//6//13 Statement Regarding Conflict Minerals Abbott Rubber Company processes and fabricates hose, hose assemblies, tubing, rubber products, and related accessories. The fabrication of our products includes the use of brass, carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Our processing activities do not alter the physical characteristics of the metals and do not in any way alter or impact the chemical content of those products. There are many layers in the supply chain that separate us from the mines where tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold (“Conflict Minerals”) are sourced. Based upon a reasonable inquiry of our suppliers, to the best of our knowledge, the materials we supply to our customers have been and will continue to be “DRC conflict free”. Such products either are produced from recycled and scrap sources or utilize “Conflict Minerals” that do not originate from the Democratic Republic of the Congo or adjoining countries. Abbott Rubber Company is committed to being in compliance with section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
