The AccuFlo®MICRO-ABRASIVE BLASTERwith SIMOOM® TECHNOLOGYWhen You Need MoreThan the MicroBlaster®The AccuFlo® is the first micro-abrasiveblaster to be equipped with the patentedSimoom® Technology – a redesigned modulator, aerodynamic tank and PowderGate® valve. The added flexibility and enhanced powder flowcontrol allow a wider range of applicationsto be performed with the unit. The introduction of the AccuFlo coincides withthe 40th anniversary of Comco, and themodel represents everything we have learnedsince we opened our doors. Customers usingMicroBlaster® models expressed a growingneed for some of the advanced features of theDirectFlo™ and PowerFlo® so Comcoengineers set about finding a way to integratethose features into a new product. The new AccuFlo comes equipped with theexclusive PowderGate® valve. This mechanismuses the latest technology to control theon/off action of the abrasive. It increases theresponsiveness of the unit and reduces downtimeby eliminating maintenance issues found onconventional blasters that use pinch mechanisms.Micro-abrasive blasting is astraightforward, cost-efficientand environmentally-friendlyway to perform a varietyof surface treatments.Derived from sandblasting, microblasting mixes fineabrasive with dry air, whichis then propelled through asmall nozzle. How AccuFlo HelpsMicroblasting technology isbeing used in an increasingnumber of criticalapplications by a broad andgrowing group of industries:medical manufacturing, aerospace, micro-electronics, dental, fossil, and precision machining.Where AccuFlo HelpsIts advanced features andoperational flexibility makethe AccuFlo the perfectchoice for:• deburring all typesof precision parts• trimming epoxyfrom probe rings• devesting dental crowns• cleaning connectors• refurbishingturbine blades• deburring cannulae• demarking• texturing for improvedbond adhesion• conditioningstent surfaces• removing MgO fromthermocouples• performing surfacetreatments onpacemakersWhat IsMicroblasting? An Engineering BreakthroughPacemaker cleaningOxide removal fromturbine bladesFossil preparationEpoxy removal fromprobe ringsThe AccuFlo® is ideal for many applications, including:Comco Inc. 2151 North Lincoln Street / Burbank, CA 91504-3344, USA / 818-841-5500E-mail: sales@COMCOinc.com / 800-796-6626 / Fax: 818-955-8365 / www.COMCOinc.com Page 2 of 4 ?Simoom® TechnologyComco's patented Simoom® Technology is namedafter a strong, dust-laden wind that blows in thedesert. In the AccuFlo, it describes the means bywhich the redesigned modulator, media tank andmixing chamber provide a more efficient process ofmixing the air and abrasive. Along with the easy-to-change bypass tube and powder flow controlregulator, this process delivers better control over theabrasive stream than other blasters. With Simoom Technology it is possible to flow awider range of abrasive size. The additional controlinherent in this technology also allows for a widerrange of powder flow, using easily replaced bypasstubes. The powder flow control regulator is then usedfor “fine-tuning.” Flowing higher concentrations ofpowder improves the abrading power, decreasingprocessing time.Specially Designed Media TankThe media tank has a transparent cover for easychecking of the powder level. A special thread designon the tank cover makes for quick removal andreplacement when it's time to add/change powder –and it holds 50% more than a standard MicroBlaster.ComfortGrip® HandpieceThe ComfortGrip® handpiece has been ergonomicallydesigned to provide extra comfort and lessen operatorfatigue. It has fewer wear points and is engineeredfor easy replacement of its exclusive Hi/Performance™nozzles. These special nozzles offer greater precisionand longer life than conventional ones.Easy MaintenanceEasy-to-read LCD counterskeep track of blast cycles andhours of use, providing simplemilestones for maintenance –which is simplified by the unit'scolor-coded air lines andconnectors. All parts subject to wear are easilyaccessible in the open design.TheAccuFlo®Comco Inc. 2151 North Lincoln Street / Burbank, CA 91504-3344, USA / 818-841-5500E-mail: sales@COMCOinc.com / 800-796-6626 / Fax: 818-955-8365 / www.COMCOinc.com Page 3 of 4 ?Comco Inc. 2151 North Lincoln Street / Burbank, CA 91504-3344, USA818-841-5500 / Fax: 818-955-8365 / sales@COMCOinc.comVisit us at www.COMCOinc.comCO/08AE Copyright 2008, Comco Inc., All Rights ReservedContact us today at 800-796-6626and discover the MicroBlastingsolution to your production problemsAccuFlo® AF10 SpecificationsModel: AccuFlo AF10 AccuFlo AF10-TStandard Tank Extended TankShipping Wt: 30 lb. Wealso continue to refine and improve each and every component, aswell as develop new products – new solutions – to addresschanging customer needs.Forty years ago, the first award-winning MicroBlaster modelexemplified Comco's commitment to innovation and engineeringexpertise. These are the qualities that have kept us at the forefrontof microblasting technology from 1968 to today, and that drovethe development of our latest customer solution, the AccuFlo.Comco Systems ApproachFor a complete, installed solution, Comco recommends aworkstation, air dryer and dust collector in addition to a blaster. The most efficient and effective installation will be one in whichall of these components work as a system, offering astraightforward solution to your micro-abrasion needs.Comco Applications LabComco's Applications Engineers have the expertise – and thecomplete, calibrated test facilities – to determine if a micro-abrasiveblasting process can improve your production efficiency andproduct quality. They can then develop a unique, customizedsolution to your precise specifications.Page 4 of 4 ?
