Speakers will enjoy visibility in all the event’s publications as well as the conference pro-ceedings on the AMERICANA website. In addition, they will be granted free admittance for the day of their presentation.WHO ARE THE ATTENdEES?AMERICANA 2013 is designed for all en-vironmental sector stakeholders, including government and municipal representatives, business executives, industry leaders, consult-ants, suppliers and top researchers. The event attracts participants from around the world.WHO ARE THE SPEAKERS?Speakers come from a wide range of spheres: business, industry, public and institutional sec-tors, engineering, consulting and academic. Approximately 60% of the presentations will be delivered by Canadian speakers and 40% by speakers from abroad. Preference will be given to proposals delivered in English or French. Simultaneous interpretation into Eng-lish or French will be offered at all sessions.APPLICATION ANd dEAdLINEAuthors are invited to submit a detailed summary (maximum two pages, including illustrations and graphs), along with a brief bio-graphy (maximum one page) before June 4, 2012. Proposals must be sent by e-mail to americana@reseau-environnement.com with the following reference: Americana 2013 presentation proposal.dOCUmENT FORmATDocuments must be in Microsoft Word for-mat. They should be single-spaced with 3 cm margins. The title of the presentation and the theme, along with the name and complete contact information of the speaker, should be clearly indicated.REVIEW OF PROPOSALS All proposals will be assessed by a com-mittee of experts based on the relevance, originality, contribution to the advancement of knowledge and various sector-specific cri-teria.
