Apex - Floodguard Aluminium Door & Window - Brochure

Our aluminium door and window designs were based on requirements for an aesthetically-pleasing solution combined with sound engineering suitable for dealing with significant flood loads including full height protection. The original commission came from the Environment Agency and enabled the development of the entire system. As existing aluminium door systems were only able to accommodate 28-54mm thick glass units, this meant that we designed our own system including 22 different extrusions in order to make up the range of configurations and to accomodate glass units of up to 60mm. The extrusions include a choice clip-in beads to enable the inclusion of screw fixing, and a choice of glazing thickness. This means a door can be engineered for the specific flood requirements.
