Operating Mode: The grit removal system operates by decantation to remove grits, sands and rocks. Influent water flows slowly into the inlet hopper to allow grits to settle at the bottom of the tank. Then, the captured grits are conveyed upward by the shaft less spiral. Effluent water evacuates through the top of the hopper to allow complete grits removal. Spray bar and cyclone system can be provided as option.
