Up to now it has completed more than 5.000 studies, surveys, air measurements of asbestos pollution, issuing of clearance certificates on behalf of Ministries, Prefectures, Municipalities, Universities, Hospitals, the Greek School Buildings Organisation (OSK), the Public Power Corporation (DEH), the Hellenic Railways Organisation (OSE), the Hellenic Navy, Banks, Shipping Companies, Multinational Companies and a lot of other private companies in Greece and abroad. The evaluation of these risks is necessary so that the health of the users of the facility will be safeguarded, hazardous substances will be properly managed, compliance with the environmental legislation will be ensured and any future investments in that facility will be protected. QUALITY The services offered by PLINIUS S.A. are based on special models that have been developed by the World Health Organization and the British Health and Safety Executive in compliance with the Greek and European legislation. Our laboratory has been evaluated by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD) which is the National Accreditation Body of Greece, and holds an accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for asbestos sampling and analysis, according to EU legislation. Moreover, our laboratory is inspected every three months by the British Health and Safety Executive for his sufficiency in the measurement of airborne asbestos fibres and in the identification of asbestos fibres in materials (www.hsl.gov.uk) and has been granted the relative certificates of sufficiency (RICE & AIMS Schemes). PERSONNEL The permanent personnel of the company includes highly specialised scientists in the subject of asbestos but also in other relevant scientific fields (Physicists, Chemical, Environmental, Mining and Electrical engineers) Furthermore, we collaborate with scientists that cover almost the entire scientific spectrum for the solution of almost all pollution and environmental problems.
