Auto Boom System - Brochure

The Auto Boom system provides automatic boom on/off control by either opening the 3-way valve to allow product to flow to the nozzles; or closing the 3-way valve to let product circulate back to the tank. The boom "ON/OFF" control is triggered by a predetermined spray area or polygon set in the Guia system. At 24V, it takes only 0.25 seconds maximum to operate from fully close to fully open; and vice versa. This time is measured by Guia to automatically compensate for the spray delay. This feature allows very precise boom-on and cut-off at the boundary of spray area and exclusion zones. With this system, pilot just focuses on flying and keeping aircraft on the right track. When there is no precise area boundary, the Auto Boom system can be operated manually using a panel mounted toggle switch.
