Axial Jet Fan Brochure

ACI’s JetFan is purpose-designed fan for eliminating strati-fication of air at different temperatures, which results ininefficient use of energy and uncomfortable working condi-tions. It is particularly effective in ensuring expensively heated air lostin the roof space is redistributed to heat those areas where it isrequired to achieve energy savings as high as 30%.Performance Characteristics:• Consists of a unique aerodynamic cowling, combined with directional fins and a high quality fan• Fan produces a long throw of air for most demanding applications• Constructed from a tough polyethylene cowl (460mm long x 580 mm height/width)• The fan’s air flow is 6,000m3/hr and power consumption is 400W (approx)• ?Highly efficient, results in low energy consumption • Supplied complete with cable, plug (US/Euro/UK), and a choice of either hanging chains for roof mounting or universal stand for floor mountiing• Options include heating elements, speed controllers and thermostats and different power suppliesModels available:220/240V, 1Ph, 50Hz 110V, 1Ph, 50HzAirflow: 6,000m³/hrFan Speed: 1290rpmPower consumption: 400 Watts (approx)Noise levels: 65dB(A) @?1M Free AirBody Materials: LDPENett?Weight: 14.5Kg (with chains) / 16Kg (with stand)Dimensions Length: 460mm, Width/Height: 580mmProtection: IP55Ancillaries: Ceiling hanging kit, floor standPerformance details:Typical Applications:• Factory Cooling / Ventilation• Hot spot Cooling• Fume Extraction• Summer ambient cooling• De-stratification / Heat Recovery in Winter• Poultry &?Crop Storage JetFanEnergy Efficient Axial FanWhat is Destratisfication?Rising hot air/heat in the workplace means low temperatures at floor level. This can lead to uncomfortable working conditions andhigh heating bills. This issue can be cured simply and effectively by installing the ACI Jetfan which allows the return of the hot air towhere it’s needed in the work area. During winter months this means that heater usage can be vastly reduced, producing overallsavings in heating costs of as much as 30%. The benefits of destratification can be obtained in any building where the roof or ceilingis well above the occupants and where an unobstructed downward flow of air can be achieved. Used in this way the Jetfan can be eight times more effective than traditionalceiling fans.Additional Benefits:• Improvement in lifespan of equipment• Reduction of condensation in roof space and damage to internal roofing materials• Improved working comfort for personnelRecommendations:• Only be used in areas with a height in excess of – 5m (16 feet) • The volume of the building needs to be estimated – Length x Width x Avg Height • Rule of thumb you will need qty 1 JetFan for every 1200m3 ( 42,000Ft3) • Ideally the gap between a fan and wall should be ½ that of the distance between two fans • An example:• 50m (164ft) x20m(65.5ft) x 7m (23ft) (av. height) = 7000m3 (247,000ft3)• 7000/1200 = 5.8 (This equates to 6 Jet Fans)ACI’s JetFan used in Poultry HousesAIR CoNTRol INDuSTRIeS lTDWeycroft Avenue, Millwey Industrial EstateAxminster, Devon, EX13 5HUt: 0845 5000 501 f: 0845 5000 502e: sales@aircontrolindustries.comw: www.aircontrolindustries.comAIR CoNTRol INDuSTRIeS INC76 Augusta Rockland RoadWindsor, Maine, ME 04363t: 207 445 2518 f: 207 445 2497e: aciinc@aircontrolindustries.comPlease note (1) - all drawings measurements are in millimeters (mm)Please note (2) - above technical specifications are subject to changeRef:?JetFan 2011/V1JetFanEnergy Efficient Axial Fan
